As Stargard was the capital of RedSpan for many years, it saw its fair share of more or less prestigous Redspaniard dukes, including Omenn Unitea, Eilt Equar, AJ von Krondor, Tony Malone, Shamus O'Shea, Roshel Enlonke, Manaydur Lamont and lastly, Dabug Habap.

The current Tarzani line of dukes is currently limited to mere Hangman Perkele.

The history of Stargard is full of colour and honour. She started off as a small settlement of the mountain people, protected by the sheer cliffs that surround the keep. Life was tough up on the mountain, the people raised there are hardy folk. Their soldiers able to take a hammering and give one out as well. Soon refugees from other conflicts found shelter and safety in Stargard. With the increase of mouths to feed, the need for food was evident, and the realm of Redspan was born, she started to expand south to the hills of upperfell, then wast toward the coast. Finnaly ending up as far east as Lanston, and as far west as cummaol. Stargard still remains the center of Redspan, protected by the sheer cliffs that helped the people of the mountains in centuries gone by.
