Tian Family/First Generation

From BattleMaster Wiki

First Generation

It was the first generation of the family that made them widely known beyond the borders of the Itorunt region of Noritor they first resided it. In fact, it was the actions of this generation that made the Tian family name respected on three different continents. First it was Perdan on the East Island, thanks to Sargon and Yunari. Then it was Heen and Irombrozia on Beluaterra by Kagurati and Ilandra respectively. Next the family name became known in various parts of Dwilight by Zanaras (who became known thanks to his exploits in 3 different realms, Pian en Luries, Shadovar/D'Hara, and Ordenstaat).

Sargon

Little is known of Sargon before his coming to nobility. Supposedly he was deemed of noble blood by a long lost ruler, others say that he lied and made himself a noble by adding the title. Truth is, he was cousin of a noble line, which had recently died out. This brought the Tian family to Itorunt, where they used to reside.

Sargon is an older half-brother to all of the family's first generation, though comes from a different mother. The Father he shared with them was the family's tie to nobility. After being banned from Ibladesh, he joined the ranks of Perdan, and served in their military for some time. After his death, it was confirmed that he was a marshal in the Army, and a believer in the 4 gods of Ibldaeshian religion.

He died at the age of 28 on the 23rd day of February, a legend in the lands of Perdan, and possibly among the entire East Continent.

Kagurati

Kagurati, is a person that strives to make the most of the world around him. A strategist and economist, his values have led him to do things that have made him a traitor in some realms, while respected in others. For a short time he served as Grand Imperator (General) of the Kingdom of Iato on Beluaterra. Currently, he resides with the family in Aix, his wandering ways having finally been quelled. Most the family credits this to having a son, Aurelias.

Yunari

Yunari, planned on more or less following the path of her older brother, Sargon, but when he died, she was forced to be a leader, instead of a follower. At one point she served in the lands of Ibladesh, but was banned for supposedly attempting to try and start a rebellion. After that, she served in Ubent for a couple weeks, and from there moved on to Perdan, where she has stayed for a considerable time. After nearly a year in their service, she left and became something of a wanderer. So far she has called the realms of Ibladesh, Ubent, Perdan, Itorunt, and Caligus her home. After spreading the EIDA a bit, she returned to Perdan, and became a bureaucrat once more. A short time later she retired and returned to stay with the family in Aix, after marrying a lesser known noble by the name of Tarjen Zarius.

Recently though, she has become somewhat infamous for the disowning of her twin daughters, Silvia and Silvianna, when they defied her and set sail for Beluaterra on their own. Whether it was public opinion that she did not like, or that she honeslty felt bad for what she did, somehow she eventually convinced her brother Kagurati that his son should go look for them.

  • After the death of her half-brother, she announced her religion, as a follower of the Four Lords Religion.
  • Students... - As a mentor, Yunari has a record listing all her students' names.
  • More... - Started, but still subject to some fine tuning.

Ilandra

The second newest member of the Tian nobility. Ilandra originally served in Old Rancagua, then left for reasons she has yet to tell. Not long after she joined the realm of Irombrozia, and finding herself no longer interested in the wars of man, dedicated herself to the preaching of Qryvaggism. This dedication has taken her from Irombrozia in the south-east, to Fronen in the north-east, and from there to Heen in the west.

After performing her best in Heen, they rewarded her fight against Hedonism, by promoting her to Baroness of Watto. This position was only to be temporary. Around the same time Kagurati left Heen, Ilandra left the East Continent altogether, staying for a short time in the Far East, and then moving on to Atamara, and later back to the East Island. Currently she resides in Aix, with the family.

What she managed to keep from most of those that knew her on Beluaterra, was that she had an encounter with Scion Twinblade at one point. When it started to become more apparent she made up an excuse to leave Heen. Nine months later, Ashlyn was born. While Ashlyn has been told who her father is, and even of potential siblings, they do not know of her what-so-ever. However, with Aurelias having been sent by his father Kagurati to the realm that one of the Twinblade children are in, this may change.

More... - Work in Progress.
Qyrvaggism - The religion she has dedicated herself to spreading.

Zanaras

Zanaras was the last active member of the family's first generation. Once his family had heard of the new land that was discovered, Zanaras was practically on the first ship there. Only a handful of fledgling realms cling to existence there. After the realm of Pian en Luries was stabilized (OoC: AKA, startup was over) Zanaras received permission from Lady Imperatrix Alanna Anaris to take his cavalry unit outside the realm and scout the lands nearby Pian en Luries. He detailed his journey in a journal known as the Dwilight Traveler. After taking a respite from this journey he was appointed Marshall of the Royal Army and also founded the Poryatown Press. Sometime later he left the realm of Pian en Luries, to attempt a colony out of Sallowtown, failing at this he left to join Everguard in the north. After a brief time there he settled down again in Shadovar, the Ordo Concilium being founded there by his friend Edith Hashimashidas. After the incidents that lead to Shadovar's fall, the faith was destroyed by the new realm of D'Hara.

This lead to what may be the second chapter of Zanaras's life. With the fall of Shadovar and the Ordo Concilium, Zanaras found himself once again in Pian en Luries. After considerable thought he joined the Order of St. Iestyn and for a time spread their word in Fissoa, and later even took it across the sea to Ordenstaat. Eventually becoming disillusioned with the faith he was spreading, he broke away creating the Argent Order.

Early in his life, when the family still lived in Itorunt, he was pushed into an arranged marriage with the youngest of a lesser noble family. Eventually they ended up loving each other, and she became pregnant. Shortly before she was to give birth, Zanaras was forced to leave for Dwilight. She died giving birth.

The child of this marriage however was Karana who after reaching adulthood came to Dwilight in search of her father, only to arrive in time to witness Zanaras's "death" at the hands of Ordenstaat. Whether or not Zanaras is in fact dead, remains to be discovered. It is quite possible he is living the remainder of his life somewhere in the Marwood that surrounds present-day Barca.

Dwilight Traveler - A first person account of the lands of Dwilight, written by Zanaras.
Poryatown Press - Guild ran by Zanaras. Currently defunct. Refounding planned.
Argent Order - The Faith he leads.
