Overview
Silverfall, the second of the two southwestern beacons of Dwilight. Life here is not easy, in fact it is very much the opposite. Silverfall strives to be the realm that Ordenstaat would not be. A realm open to it's nobles, where there are clearly set channels of communication so that even the most new of nobles can present his concerns to the Ruler. Quiet nobles will be ignored, and disloyal ones cut as soon as proof is found. There is only opportunity here if you prove you deserve it.
Government Bodies
Silverfall is a Constitutional Monarchy with Republican ideals. Given the harshness of the Western Fringes, the first ruler felt that a stable, central power base would be required. There is however
High Council
All realms have a high council, and naturally, Silverfall is no exception to this. The High Council consists of the King or Queen, Grand Imperator/Imperatrix (General), People's Adjudicator/Adjudicatrix (Judge), and High Treasurer. Of these positions the General and Treasurer are appointed by the ruler. The Ruler is chosen by the local lords of the realm whenever the last ruler has lost his position, each lord has a number of votes equal to the number of knights beneath him. The last of the positions, the Adjudicator is elected on a quarterly basis--every 3 months with everyone having a single vote. This is deliberate, to keep the ruling council from staying too private. Under no circumstances are the Ruler and Adjudicator allowed to be the same person.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council consists of the High Council as well as select nobles from the realm. It is administrated by the Ruler to act as his personal board of advisors. Typically one would expect the marshals and certain local lords to be included in this council as well.
Chamber of Representatives
The Chamber of Representatives is the most public of the three bodies, and it's also the most fluid. The only semi-permanent member is the Ruler and the Adjudicator. The other two high councilors are deliberately forbidden from being a member within this council, to ensure the nobles have a place to voice their opinions. This is a method for complaints to be registered, as well as debates be discussed. The nobles that make up the Representatives are elected bi-monthly. The first election will be held in September, should the realm have grown enough by then for it to be effective.
It is expected that the title of "Representative" is one of the first one would hold within the realm once the Chamber is officially opened. The Representatives will also make up the jury of any trials held by the realm--unless the defendant is the Chamber in which case an appropriate jury will be found.
Official Documents
- Constitution of Silverfall - Designed to keep the noble intentions that created Silverfall from deteriorating into the private circle that was originally Ordenstaat.
- Claims Registry - While all nobles are welcome to voice a claim on a particular region surrounding Silverfall, it is their actions in the realm that will validate and strengthen a claim.
Military
Ordo Malleus - The first of the armies to serve Silverfall has it's initial roots in Ordenstaat. Originally created when later King Zanaras served as Baron of Thysan in Ordenstaat, the army has been recreated twice since. Once to better serve the duchy of Twainville in Ordenstaat, and once more to serve as the primary army of Silverfall.
Religion
Order of Saint Iestyn
There is no official state religion within Silverfall, though the strong presence of the Order of Saint Iestyn is difficult to ignore, particularly because the current ruler is a priest of that faith. The Order also has a large part in the original taking of the city by Ordenstaat as well as allowing the Duke to maintain order in his city as easily as he does. Rumors are abound though that the strength of the faith is waning in the leadership's eyes.
Guilds
At the time of this message there are no guilds within the realm. Rumor has it that there are interets in somehow bringing a few to the city. The Duke of Twainville has long been planning a rebirth of the Poryatown Press, and has also been debating finding a way to bring a branch of the Véinsørmoot guild to the city.
History

- Current and Past High Councillors - A listing of the past councilors and how they attained their positions.
- Current and Past Representatives of the Nobility - More of a glorified list than official document, a listing of past Representatives is kept for historical purposes.
Origins
Created by Duke Zanaras Tian of Twainville, by secession on the 12th day of Winter of the 7th year of Dwilight, Silverfall was born out of brewing discontent between Ordenstaat's ruling assembly, the "Brotherhood" as well as the chaos created by the second rebellion in Ordenstaat. While the realm was faithful to the Order of Saint Iestyn, the faith's religious leadership in the realm did not always see eye-to-eye with the other Brotherhood members, starting arguements on several occassions. Towards the last of these arguments that member set out to create a realm of his own, and given his abilities as a priest and that the realm would likely be formed via secession, it would be an easier realm creation than most on the continent. With the second rebellion of Ordenstaat, conditions were the best they would ever be for the rogue Duke to proclaim his own realm, allowing him to take a few of those discontented with Ordenstaat, with him as he left.
The original nobles of Silverfall include: Duke Zanaras, Zeromus, Ashlyn, and Rowayas; who left via the Duke's secession.
