Capital | Barad Falas |
Government System | Republic |
Coria is a duchy of Silnaria. It was previously lead by a Senate of nobles and benefits from a Parliament that serves as an advisory body to the Senate. That is all moot, however, as Coria now pays fealty to the great King Drizztle Sharpspeare.
Coria values Integrity, Honour and Respect and welcomes all Nobles who share these values. It is up to each noble to earn the respect of their peers. Without this respect your words may mean little against the opinions of others.
History
Coria was established as a Colony of the Cagilan Empire when a long war against Falasan drew to an end on the first day of Autumn of the fifth year (OOC year) of Atamara. Since that time, Coria has grown to become a strong and independent nation. Coria is a republic that values Integrity, Honor and Respect. Despite it's progress, Coria is still young and seeks brave and honourable knights to join it's ranks.
Despite enjoying a bright start on Atamara, Coria's existence would prove to be relatively short. The last act of the Senate of Coria was to command the forging of the new realm of Silnaria with the rump of Coria's territory. Only a few lords and regions resisted, either bravely giving their allegiance to other realms or waiting for anarchy to take their lands.
After many wars, uprisings, rebellions, and more wars, Coria's Senate voted to dissolve itself, and allow it's lands to emerge under King Merlin Silverfire, as the new Nation of Silnaria.

Laws Regarding Positions of Power
The positions of Duke and Consul require a lot of time and responsibility, therefore no Duke or Consul is permitted to hold a government position or lordship in addition to their post as it may adversely affect their ability to fulfill their responsibilities. All other cases of dual lordship and government leaderships should be handled on a case-by-case basis with the good of Coria being the deciding factor.
Laws Regarding Religion
Forming a new religion is legal in our Realm, with the permission of the Council. All requests to form a new religion must be presented to the Council, and each must be approved before it will be accepted as legal. Once a religion has been approved, permission must then be gained from the Region Lord/Lady before any place of worship can be built in that Region. Once permission has been granted and any size temple built, that religion comes under the protection of our Realm. Magna Serpaensism has been declared illegal, and is not under the protection of our Realm.
Laws Regarding Adventurers
Adventurers have been invited and encouraged to work freely and unhindered within our borders to help keep the monster and undead problem under better control, in turn freeing more of our army for other tasks. Adventurers, therefore, are protected. If any of them break our laws or insult any of our Nobles, the matter should be brought to the attention of the High Magistrate, who will deal with the matter through the courts.

Economy
Coria's economy has proven robust. This point has been proven by how well Coria recovered after the traitorous Borus Von embezzled 10,000 gold from the Corian Treasury and Coria's many Nobles resulting in economic disaster. To aid the Master of Scales with the administration of Coria's economy the Corian Trade Commission has been established.
