The West Talerium Monarchy

May she rest in our hearts...

As most people in Atamara and the world would know, especially those from younger generations know, West Talerium is a realm without a map. The little realm of 14,900 inhabitants had a short lived, though big history. Having been created from the regions of Maapan and Chucxi, with Mapaxal as the capital, West Talerium clearly came from Talerium sovereignty and would geographically be known as the Duchy of Mapaxal by today's standards.

Not much is known about what went on inside the little realm, as few accepted the opportunity to join. When a realm of West Talerium's size is faced with several enemies with a combined population of over 460,000, one tends to stay away from what would effectively be considered a suicidal career path. However, most of those who served her until her end were proud to do so.

During her time, West Talerium's only allies were Falasan, Abington, Southasland, and the "new" Callaway. Neither of these allies offered military support, but the support they did offer was appreciated and indispensable for West Talerium to survive as long as it had. The realm's king, Prince Zetcher, did all he could with his small government and council to keep the peace desired, and in the past promised to him by his former Prime Minister, Captian. However, things did not go quite that peaceful and several realms were rallied by Captian's exaggeratory silver tongue. Darka, Eston, and Barony of Makar were Talerium's primary allies in the war and came to the call-to-arms like a dog to his master; despite Talerium having more than enough resources to subdue their "civil war" if they wanted.

West Talerium fought for peace, never leaving their own soil in attempt to ensure it but this only gave Captian's regime the time it needed, and exploited greedily, to build up the forces needed to eliminate the "threat". Because of this and many other unfortunate events, West Talerium barely received a breath of air before it was brought down by the might of two super powers and two sizeable realms. Just a good example of using a contingent of siege engines to scale a barnyard fence.
