Disappearances to blame for Caligus loss in Troyes
Sometime during the day before the battle three nobles of Caligus disappeared. This included Duke Syklvor, General Lana and Knight Clyde. Together and also with reliable movement they made up over 2KCS and may have tipped the battle in our favor. There is some suspicion that Westmoor sent kidnappers to abduct these nobles. No ransom has been demanded and we fear they may have been dragged to the forest and slain on the spot never to be seen again. We pray this is not the case.

When it came to the battle only 9.5K Caligan troops made the scene against 11.5K defenders from Westmoor. Our troops fought bravely dealing alot of damage to the defenders but in the end were defeated. Caligus pulled back since it effectively lost half its army in the battle

War againss Perdan finally over
As expected the realm of Perdan has officially surrendered to the realms of Caligus and Ibladesh The peace treaty is astounding with Ibladesh getting claims to no less than 8 regions! Including a city (Aix}, a stronghold (Castle Ubent), two townslands (Ar Mosul and Bisciye and 4 rural regions! One has to wonder if Ibladesh really deserved this much regions as reports had it they were the least involved in the fighting.

Caligus from the war gains Meuse, Mulhouse, Eldoret and the city of Partora.

Here is the offical copy of the peace treaty

Surrender terms from Perdan to Caligus and Ibladesh

Perdan a much dimished realm from its former glory is however not defeated and it still stands firmly in the East Continent with its large city and wealthy regions around it. They live on and have hopes for a brighter future dreaming of days past.

Caligus is the only one of these three still at war as Perdan has raised relations with Sirion aswell. Caligus marches onwards!

Message between Rulers angers Caligus Nobles!
The leak occured unknowingly but nobles from Caligus got the following message that King Corwin sent to Prime Minister Meristenzio and King Dobromir.

Letter from King Corwin

Very obviously Westmoor is unaware of its own foreign politics and has no clue why its involved in the war with Sirion. Westmoor has never had to fight to survive not once. Caligus nobles want this to change and want Westmoor to show they deserve land of their own and a place in the East Continent

Peace with Perdan Imminent, OI asks for peace
Yesterday our King Dobromir Menethil officially signed a peace treaty. Just now reports have it that Queen Balkeese has followed suit and signed the same one. We only wait for Pontifex Sinted on behalf of Ibladesh to sign as well. Details of the treaty will be given to the public once the last signature is written down

Also Shady, Emperor of the Obsidian Islands has asked Caligus for peace since their objective was to be defensive on Perdan. We assume the situation is being discussed carefully.

Caligus Nobles vote to cotinue war on Westmoor
Today has been a quiet day. However, a poll regarding the war with Westmoor came to a close.

It wasn't the most heated debate but overall the people of Caligus do not feel Westmoor should to let off after suffering all their attacks. Here are the poll results shown below:

Referendum Results (20 hours, 20 minutes ago) The referendum "Continue War on Westmoor" has ended. Here is the final tally

24 votes for yes

7 votes for no

22 votes were not cast

With this and the war against Perdan drawing to a close, it can be sure that Caligus armies will soon focus their attention on Westmoor. Westmoor should be able to successfully defend against an attack from Caligus considering the bottleneck it can funnel their armies through. However, with how Westmoor's army has always been, there are always some doubts if it can successfully even defend its own lands. Time will surely tell.

In other minor news, Caligus was recently plagued with monster attacks in various regions. They however have quickly been mopped up.

General Lana was appointed for a second stint as general of Caligus. Congrats to her on a job well done.

Also, Sanctus Acies the main religion of Caligus is slowly but surely being revived. There has been a sudden spark of interest and new priests are being found.

That is it for now. We will continue being the monopoly newpaper for as long as possible!

The Re-Collection of the past year
Over the past year Caligus has fought against their longest standing ally. Caligus was stamped as underdogs with little to no chance to win the war. For the first month, things were going according to plan with Caligus losing Bursa, Moyale then Nascot and also Winkamus.

Then our King Dobromir decided to overhaul the whole military starting with the general and appointed a new noble Drago who was only in the realm for a short time. This drew out quite a few complaints from senior members in the realm but the decision was upheld and the war started to turn around. With a new leadership and higher morale, Caligus started to defeat wave after wave of Perdanese nobles, taking back Winkamus and also taking Meuse from Perdan and invaded into Bescanon.

Over the course of the war it seem Sangue suddenly became ill and disappeared completely. With a new monarch in Perdan and with Perdan starting to lose ground, peace terms were signed to return to original borders, with Perdan insisting on a clause to make sure if Perdan wished to war against another realm (like Sirion), Caligus would be unable to war its the allies (Westmoor, Fontan and SoA).

Then a short stint of peace.

Report has it that Perdan was marching its army north. Caligus at the same time decided to lower relations with Westmoor to neutral and announce an official war declaration. Perdan followed by declaring war on Sirion with no reasoning. Obviously this had Queen Micna and Queen Balkeese claiming Caligus can't enter the war because of prior treaty. But because Caligus showed intent to war and King Dobromir is a man of his word, he followed through the war declaration and so also lowered relations to Perdan to war to abide by the previous treaty. Ibladesh joined on Caligus side and a new war waged.

Caligus had been weakened with new nobles going to fight the invasion overseas. Caligus's army amassed up to 14K. Westmoor marched 10-12K consistently and Perdan amassed 21-22K CS till she started to weaken. Ibladesh fielded 30K CS. OI made some defensive attempts coming with 5K CS at a time.

The war was staged with Perdan and Westmoor pushing offensively into Caligus with up to 25K CS at a time while Caligus defended and Ibladesh pushing an offensive into Perdanese West side. Perdan put up little to no defensive resistance against Ibladesh forces, making them lose region after region and even the city of Aix. Caligus held well in its defensive posture abandoning Nascot and holdings near its capital and in Viseu/Akesh border on Westmoor.

Westmoor's army is the military joke of the East Continent, losing against militia three times in Viseu and constantly lead their army to their deaths with senseless offensives. With Westmoor out of the way, Ibladesh and Caligus made a final push to bring Perdan to its knees and the realm is reduced to its last few regions and its capital ransacked. Surrender terms are currently in progress.

Here is the most recent assault on the capital of Perdan:
