I've created Template:Infobox history for use with this project. --Bannable 01:57, 19 December 2007 (CET)

Link

I notices it was pretty hard to fin this page, so I put a link to it under the Misc. section on the main page. Anyone have a better place for it? --Athins 10:28, 20 December 2007 (CET)

EC: Sources of Info

Newspapers that have a significant amount of historical information:

Most of the following papers published from late 2005 to the fall of Oligarch in mid 2006. There was a lot of propaganda in many of the articles in all of these, but that's only to be expected. Everyone tries to put their own spin on things, and this was a time well-known for propaganda.

Realm pages with lots of EC history

I also have a long ancient history of EC written by Edge. Actually, it was dictated over IRC, so I have to clean up the log a bit. It covers the start of the Perdan/Sirion war, and includes a lot of information regarding the start of the war, such as the "betrayal" of Sirion by Perdan, etc. I'll post it when I get it cleaned up. --Indirik 16:23, 19 December 2007 (CET)

If needed, I recall an awful lot in regards to the first invasion from Eno Chia's and Luz de Bia's perspective of the invasion, including the details surrounding Midas Chia and the secession. And from after that point, the last 4 years of history from the Meshian perspective, and to a certain extent, a non-biased view of everything involved.

Contact me if any of these are of any particular interest. --JonniT 03:26, 18 January 2008 (CET)

FEI Information

Ethialan Press has an interesting account of events to do with Taith_Aenil, and conversations between members of Arcaea interested in the history and the child of Helios and others have yielded a strange chain of events. Luyten was editor of the Ethialan press and denounces Orphen in it, yet currently he is his right hand man in Greater Aenilia. Although Arella and others may have been partly responsible for the fall of Taith Aenil, it seems that Orphen was largely responsible for the war against Ethiala in the first place that led to the secession of Nahad and the formation of Greater Aenilia. Also in this time (April 2006), Arcaea lost a large chunk of her former lands, until she was left with the three regions that constituted the kingdom for over a year.

Most of the accounts of Taith Aenil were written by Orphen himself, so it seems an easy conclusion to make that they paint a different picture than what may actually have happened.

Other info: Twinblade Family - Find "Orphen" and it will show a little comment describing Orphen and Luyten as traitors. Searching Orphen's name on the wiki search also brings up the mention of him as a traitor by other characters. Still, thats not to say that he was able to inspire fierce loyalty on the part of other people. The Aenilian Times questions was Taith Aenil all that bad?
