Ibladesh Turning Around?
August 15, 1011

It would seem that that region of Liebo has finally been taken by Ibladesh after they defeated Caligus, which could mean that things are turning around for their wars. However, a win on the Caligus front does not mean that they are succeeding on the Perdan front, as it is nearly believed Ibladesh is avoiding the Perdan troops after so many losses in the past.

A Stalemate Month?
August 15, 1011

With only a few reports coming in from around the continent, it would seem most, if not all the realms, are busy doing other things then fighting. Mainly it would seem some resistant-free looting was done by Perdan in Ibladesh and Sirion in Sultanate of Asena. There is also the "war" between Westmoor and Fontan, where Westmoor is more or less taking regions that might as well be rogue ones since Fontan isn't and can't really put up any resistance. Then Caligus also tried to break through Ibladesh, failing, and Liebo fell to Ibladesh forces shortly after...

Infiltrator Problems
August 15, 1011

It would seem that as Sirion had problems with infiltrators while fighting Fontan that now Westmoor is facing the same problem. It has been reported that there are several infiltrator actions in their realm, many of which have unknown culprits, and some of which they have suspects and even caught a couple of well known infiltrators. The question is, what will they be able to do about it? It is well known that infiltrators that are highly skilled in their work are also highly skilled at escaping, if not outright buying their freedom before actions can be taken.

Victory to Defeat
August 10, 1011

A news day just wouldn't be complete without the section on battle. It would seem not one but two Huge Battles where fought over Igno not to long ago. The two sides on this field was, of course, Ibladesh but instead of the usual Perdan on the other side, Caligus has decided to step up and take the spotlight away from their ally. In the first report shown it has marked down that Caligus walked away with this victory, having a strong showing of military might as Perdan did several times. However this was not to last as the next battle report did not favor Caligus and instead has given Ibladesh a long overdue victory over an enemy. Does this mean that Ibladesh has found a way to turn things around or is this just a a sound victory in a lost cause? We will see....

Three Regions Down
August 10, 1011

In a short time three regions have found themselves no longer under the rogue banner. Pedrera was taken by the Sultanate of Asena, Al Amarah was taken by Sirion and Oberndorf was taken by Westmoor. What does this mean? Well a failing realm has gained a new region to try to stabilize, a strong realm flexes it's power, and a realm full of potential pushes it's borders. What does it mean for the future? Well more battles of course!

New Rulers
August 10, 1011

In a surprising turn of events, both Sirion and Ibladesh find themselves with new rulers this month. The first came from the usual election time in Sirion, but to a surprise for this paper, Prime Minister Meristenzio was replaced by their long standing General Ilias. The election in Ibladesh was not a usual one, as it only happens when their Pontifex steps down, is forced out, or disappears, in this case, Pontifex Theuderik disappeared bringing up new elections. These elections brought upon a new face for Ibladesh, Pontifex Abraxas. We wish both rulers the best of luck, and congratulations on winning your elections. - Addition - Prime Minister Meristenzio was replaced by General Ilias through a regular election that Prime Minister Meristenzio did not run for re-election in.

Expanded Rankings
August 6, 1011

Further explanation into the rankings...Ibladesh was named the first realm on the rankings chart because they have a higher income, a higher military power and despite having some huge losses to Perdan seem to be holding together well. Sirion is named second because, well they are holding the most regions with the most nobles but need to work on their military power and income. Caligus and Perdan take up the third and fourth spots, together they have shown they can, and will, win wars while they continue to win battles against Ibladesh, they also have great amounts of military power, income, nobles and regions. Westmoor takes up the fifth spot mainly because their high amount of military power they hold, along with a decent amount of nobles, regions and a solid income. Sultanate of Asena comes in sixth this month, recently beating the Obsidian Islands in Kazan, and holding more nobles, military power and income then both Fontan and the Obsidian Islands. In seventh place came the Obsidian Islands for having a higher income, more regions and more of a military power then Fontan. Finally in eighth is Fontan, as they work on their badly damaged regions they are finding it very hard to recover thanks to their war with Westmoor, things are even harder for them. To everyone who got the higher rankings (1st, 2ed, 3rd, 4th), congratulations! For all who ranked lower (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th) better luck next month!

Fontan, Expanding?
August 2, 1011

Fontan took the region of Negev earlier today, quite a change from before when the only regions they could manage to take over where through religious means. Perhaps things are finally changing for the better in Fontan, with a new region perhaps this means a new dawn with a new day and a better tomorrow, good luck Fontan, we look forward to seeing more positive reports.

A Great Lord Falls
August 2, 1011

During the battle of Kazan with the Army of Obsidian Islands against the Sultanate of Asena Army, the Great Lord of Lundel, Marcus Gaeric, was killed. Shortly after hearing the word that Lord Gaeric was slain in battle, the retreat was sounded, his body was quickly found and brought back to the Islands, may his soul rest in peace.
