Heen is a monarchy split from Varyamo Nolvo. Heen, in its founding, had dedicated itself to purifying its all people of the evil faith of Hedonism, as well as eliminating its two defenders, Vice and Varyamo Nolvo. With that goal accomplished, Heen now seeks to serve its rightful place in Beluaterra.

History of Heen

Even though Heen is only a young realm in the eyes of all others, it holds a vast history. Within half a year of existance, Heen has acomplished more than many others in their life-time. We can call ourselves fortiunate to be one of the only existing kingdoms that has a complete record of its history from the beginning to the present day.

Religion in Heen

Despite being named The Holy Kingdom of Heen, no single religion dominates the deserts or cities of Heen. Noted religious scholar, Valeria DeSyrr wrote the following about religious tendencies in the Holy Kingdom:

It's also interesting to note the difference in religion in the realm. The north is predominantly Draconic. The south is predominantly Qyrvaggist. Latlan is known for Hedonism but is becoming increasingly dominated by Valentic converts.
The problem with this is that religion is not always along cultural divides. Draconics in the "pure" Heen City probably don't completely trust the formerly Varyaman Draconics in Tahgalez. On the same token, Qyrvaggists in Heenite Ling, Vicean Sotrebar, and Varyaman Watto and the wartorn region Watto all probably are all very different in opinions and demeanour.
Furthermore, none of these religions are native to the desert. There is still a Pagan minority is probably reeling over the fact that the old ways are being cast aside. Maybe the reason there are slightly more Draconics than Qyrvaggists or Valentics is because the people can relate more to the many Draconics that inhabited the desert city of Joppo.
Heen is special in that it is so diverse. This is odd for a realm. Sure, a realm may have more than one religion, like Fronen. It has/had temples of Qyrvaggism, Yggdrasili, Octarianism, etc. but to this day is still overwhelmingly dominated by Draconics.
Here you don't see that. Heen's the religious melting pot of Beluaterra.

Guilds

The Beluaterran Desert may be a melting pot of foreign religions, but it has yet to be touched by outside guilds. In fact, the two guilds that do weather the harsh desert climate saw their first guildhouses constructed there.

  • The Wayside Inn of Beluaterra - Founded within the sturdy walls of the city of Heen, this guild has but a small but loyal membership. Perhaps if some outsiders would visit, it's following may grow, and even span realm borders.
  • The Citadel Reserve - Located within the confines of the isolated desert stronghold of Tahgalez, this guild specializes in the "Safe and Secure Conservancy of Currency". Be it saving it saving gold for later use, or just putting it away for withdraw elsewhere, the Citadel will not release any details as to how much each member may have within it's Reserves.
