Comments from Darkans |
January 31th Easy, High Priest of Darka of Darkanism, said: "Those RedSpanians, what great folks. When I first arrived in Meldeen, I saw that they could not even properly spread the word of their hairy leader, for many other religions had followers here as well. There were barely followers of the goats here, and so the population here was in dire need of some good, salving Gods. The Volcano Gods were welcomed guests here, as every time I spoke to the people of Meldeen, many of them complied to them. "It is common knowledge that the RedSpanians have no honour at all, but I must say that what overcame me a few days ago really crossed all boundaries. That they cannot convert people to believe in a hairy monster, so far perfectly understandable, but that they must send out their infiltrators to attack other priests like me who do have success among the nobles, that really is unbelievable. Once again the RedSpanians have shown their true nature: no honour, no respect, and no guts."
Paradigm, High Priest of Sigrid of Darkanism, said: "RedSpan... yes realm of goatworshippers. Worshippers of lesser beings, that must be the reason why they act so foolish. After all if you worship a lesser being than yourself, then you are getting less intelligent yourself too. This would certainly explain the current behavior pattern of RedSpanians; the false propaganda, the continuous whining. And then we even have their ruler, who says that production didn't lower in Stargard. Well ruler of RedSpan production wasn't what we were after, but thanks for the hundreds of gold though. You don't seem to be missing them so we rather take it from you, after all you are not intelligent enough to realize it. Which then, we come to the point where worshippers of lesser beings get less intelligent themselves again...."
From Creator and Editor, Crescent: "I only have one word for Abington, cowards. You whine, insult and challenge us to fight and now that we're here, you've all disappeared to hide behind walls and hurl insults and fake evidence at us just for propaganda issues. Why not come and face us? What about your 'revenge' you vowed? To RedSpan, You claim we are cowards and had to overrun you with Talerium and Barony of Makar, blame it on your 'Da Smelly Goat' and your allies for not coming to your rescue. This has to be the 'best' Federation I've ever seen."
Jarod, Knight of Winser, said: "All I have to say is that, what those Abbies and goats are writing is a bit ironic. They say that our king is spreading propaganda but they are the ones who are spreading the propaganda. All of it is so ironic. We are at war and they try to hurl allegations towards us because we won a few battles. What irony! The reason we were at war was because of the assassination which those goats committed and now they are whining because we looted Stargard! We are at war with those goats!! Not going to goatdom to hug some goats!"
January 28th Vatticus, Marshal of the Homeguard Army said: "RedSpan is only red cause its covered in blood. The smell bad and worship filth, making them dirty filth lovers of farm animals. They are also weak... being weak is good enough reason to laugh, seeing as I am strong and come from a nation that sees strength to be worthy of worship. I notice a lot of crying from the south, this pleases me, for I have always been a big fan of enemies who cry when they die. Its funny to see them shake fists in the sky wondering why they die... "Lastly, and most importantly. Right now I am eating a holy goat sent from RedSpan, to me, from our troops who are crushing the goats. How many RedSpanners are eating Lava tonight? Bwhahahaha BWAH bwahaha!"
January 19th From Creator and Editor, Crescent: "I would like to remind readers of the RedSpan Revealer that the only thing they reveal are their lies and propaganda. Goats don't smell nice, and I'm sure they were influenced too much by their goats. The goats are in need of a volcano bath in Mnt. Sinclair I think, but I doubt the gods will be pleased with smelly sacrifices."
Nirandor, Knight of Tolhuar said: "While there appears to be great injustice in the whole situation [regarding punishment of traitors], one must never forget that it is laws which govern the land. While I morally object to the execution of Fade, one must not forget he acted upon his own accord and took matters, while having the best interest of the land, into his own hands. Therefore he is responsible for his actions. By turning underground and following his lead it holds him responsible for plotting against the government. "If our Judge was to excuse this, then future conspirators may quote this case in their own trials. A land without law is anarchy, and by that we would fall apart. "As for the punishment upon Manic, I share your pity that the greater of the two evils gets the lesser of punishment, but he has spoken merely words and taken no action. "The law is the law."
Amaarent, Royal Treasurer of Darka said: "I applaud Carelias actions in the case of Vos Estis. It shows Carelia is a realm with honour and respect for other high ranking nobles in the world. The same can not be said of their federation comrade RedSpan." |

The sister of the rebel Fade, who was executed recently for treason, and also the sister of Benny, who recently started a newspaper, has joined the Abington ranks. Reiss Kimura recently sent me a message which insulted this newspaper you are reading and after I retorted, I received this letter from the Dame of Wayburg:
You assume I use a sword, you wretched little man. I see you're still using the same ignorant scribe, too. |
I would watch your back, fool. Death lurks much closer than you think.
Reiss (Dame of Wayburg) It was indeed a great irony, when she was wounded in Ambermel. This proves that Abington is unable to apply the words they speak to themselves first before trying to act noble and give other people advice. |

Abington and Carelia joined the RedSpan-Darkan war just last night as a fierce battle was waged between the forces of Darka and Talerium and the Southern Federation of RedSpan, Abington and Carelia. The battle continued throughout the night of the 30th and extended until dawn today.
During the night, Darkan and Talerium troops advanced into Ambermel and took the palisades of the region. Abington and RedSpan retreated; but in the morning, Carelian troops arrived to reinforce the Southern troops and engaged in a counter attack in a bid to retake the region's defenses. However, despite valiant attempts - the defenders, Darka and Talerium were victorious.
|
This is the most taxing battle of this war as many nobles were injured or captured in the exchange, notably that of High Marshal Xuanye, commander of the Abington army and Marshal Valos from Abington. Three nobles of Darka were also captured.

|||
Today, an RedSpan noble made an desperate attempt to break the siege on Stargard. What makes this even more interesting is that the RedSpan noble fought alongside with a group of Undead.
|
Sephiroth might have been driven crazy for seeing the damage done to the capital of RedSpan, but fighting alongside the foul Undead makes a clear statement as to how desperate some in RedSpan have become.

AJ von Krondor, the RedSpan infiltrator who assassinated and left Mr_Jones Perkele in mid-November has been caught in Meldeen by guards of Talerium. He was found by Hashim's, Knight of Chohua, Talerium, tent conspicuously, with a poisoned dagger under his cloak.
|
The hunt for the RedSpan culprit has finally ended. The decision on the fate of this criminal is now in the Talerium judge's hands.

A total of 49 troops leaders from Darka, Talerium and the Barony of Makar attacked the walls of Stargard this night. The attackers claimed victory and the fortifications were heavily damaged, taking them down to Stronghold (4). Notably, many RedSpan nobles were injured in this battle wave and wave of men advanced. Banners of RedSpan were seen constantly floundering in the front line.
|
|
|||
Darkan and Talerium warriors marched into RedSpan lands yesterday. The attackers were quickly able to overcome the defending forces at Meldeen and claim a victory. Not long after, RedSpan declared war upon Talerium and Abington, ally of RedSpan declared war upon Darka.
Realistically, the hordes of Abington will drive our warriors back, but not before we leave a smothering trail behind us.

Captured RedSpan infiltrator Finegus O'Shea was tortured and banished today, after being held a day in Darkan dungeons.
After the bloody torture, Lavigna whispered into the assassin's ear, "Finegus you are now banned from Darka. I will not tell you what will happen to you if you return. Threats or such statements don't seem to affect you much. But keep in mind that when it comes to men like you, men of the shadows... no law can predict their punishment. Do not count on mercy if you ever return in Darka."
|
Alleged traitor Fade Kimura was publicly executed, thrown into the Holy Volcano of Sinclair.
On the summit of the great volcano, the judge Lavigna Galadeon read the sentencing: "Fade Kimura, you are accused by the Laws and Gods of Darka for High Treason. A crime that is equal to death. After your sacrifice to the Gods your debt towards Darka will be considered fulfilled."

The day gets busier for Lavigna Galadeon, as a second troop leader was banned from Darkan lands today. A second banishment has been issued today by the Arch Priestess upon, this time upon Manic D'Saferate, knight of Azzal. He joined the realm less than two weeks ago, and has a elder sister on Atamara in Tara.
In a letter to the Arch Priestess and Vatticus, Fade forwarded his claim to innocence and the reason he went underground. The lead he caught onto came from an incriminating letter from the accused Manic D'Saferate. Which subsequently lead to the banishment of this noble.
|
With the recent decisions, there has come some debate. Troop leaders from across Darka have expressed their opinion on the punishment of Fade. While some advocate their support for the execution of the traitor, others plea for greater mercy on the untrustworthy noble and deport him or set him upon exile. Fade's apparent plea of innocence has caused a glance of introversion amongst Darkan ranks.
In response to criticisms on her judging, Lavigna said:
|
|
|||
Fade Kimura, a knight of Azzal, has been declared as a heretic, traitor and betrayer by Arch Priestess Lavigna. The judge said, "Your rebellious nature leaded me easily to your crimes. You are not long enough in Darka to even know which is the best tavern in Azzal but still you entered the underground. Your ignorance will cost you your life."
The judges informants reported to Lavigna that, we "followed him to a conspirational meeting - it appears he is conspiring against you!"
|
Fade Kimura responded to these allegations by saying, "I sneak into the underground trying to root out traitors FOR them, and they declare ME a traitor. Wonderful."
It is interesting to note that Fade's elder sister, Reiss Kimura, dwells in Abington lands. At the current diplomatic state, Darka is effectively at war with the Abington-Carelia-RedSpan (or Southern) Federation.

Finegus O'Shea a RedSpan infiltrator, was once more caught. A month to this day, Finegus was found in Darkan lands causing mischief. Today, he was caught in Alani. Now locked up in Lavigna's cells. It seems that this RedSpan noble loves the brew of Darka.

GhostDragon Kwong has returned from his hiatus and was eagerly embraced by his wife, Lady Lavigna (Countess of Tolhuar, Arch Priestess of Darka and General of the Homeguard Army) on the steps of Azzal's temples.

Yeti, Count of Wistir has been banned by Lady Lavigna, Arch Priestess of Darka, for openly insulting Darka in front of all the rulers. Here is a copy of the message he sent.
Letter from Yeti |
To which Lady Lavigna replied to the realm:
How dare you insult Darka this way in front of the whole continent Yeti?
The Vatticus promotion can be viewed here. Update from January 19: Yeti has been found dead in Talerium today. |

Abington, an ally of RedSpan and a part of the Southern Federation is now expected to become an enemy of Darka's. This comes after Abington is eager to repay the alleged rampant looting of Abington Lands in the "War of Annihilation".

Recently, a Carelian infiltrator attempted to assault Jonathon, the dictator of Tara. Now, that infiltrator has received punishment from Carelia's judge. The following was sent to all rulers on Atamara:
Garthon, Arch Priest of Carelia has declared Vos Estis (Noble) an enemy of the realm and will issue a ban on him shortly. He has given the following reason: Accused of [assassination] attempt on a Ruler we are at peace with. Failure to present your own defense leaves me no option but to ban you. |
As I said, we handle our cases as we wish others to do.
Sir Kronos King of Carelia, Marshal of the Royal Guard The comment by King Kronos could be interpreted as a jab at their federation comrade, RedSpan and their refusal to apply similar punishment over the actions of their infiltrator, AJ, who some time ago stabbed Darka's royal treasurer, Mr_Jones. |
