The Daele Family is a noble house, originating from Mattan Dews of Dwilight when it was under the rule of Asylon. When Asylon's former capital, Giask, was taken over, they changed their allegiance to Luria Nova and have loyally served them since. The seat of House Daele is Unterstrom Ravenhold.

History

House Daele was founded by Gilbert when he was knighted after years dutifully serving as a knight's squire. As well as his knighthood, he was also awarded the lands of the Eastern Wild-lands at Mattan Dews, which was then under the rule of the Duchy of Mech and Farrow, of Asylon.

Sir Gilbert served Asylon loyally and took part in the defense of Giask during the siege by Luria Nova. However, lack of unity in those higher up and his subsequent imprisonment made him loose faith in Asylon, and he changed his allegiance to Luria Nova. He was surprised by the welcome and warmth he received despite having recently fought on the opposite side, as well as being given lands in Askileon for his surrender, and went on to serve Luria Nova loyally. At that time, he also became a member of the Exiled Edreun and took up their faith of the Ecclesial Sanguiastroism.

Southern League War

Sir Gilbert helps the sympathy takeover of Girich. While there, he hears news of the disappearance of Lord Aylwin Gottfried and is reported to be saddened by the loss. He heads back to Girich to help retake it from Astrum and D'Hara forces.

Battle in Girich wounds Gilbert deeply and the Iron Fury nearly destroyed. He goes into hiding while he recovers and is helpless as some of his men are ambushed by enemy forces. He leaves Girich as soon as he is able with what remains of his unit for Lurian lands. Gathering his 70 men, he heads back to Ciarin Tut.

He waits there for several days for any orders from above. News of the fall of Axylia Dundrave sadden him, as like himself Axylia was a former Asylonian who now stood for Luria Nova.

He heads for Poryatown with the Iron Fury after hearing news of an imminent attack there but it turns out to be a false alarm and no enemy troops were found when he arrived.

Gilbert accepts the Imperial Magistrate Aldrakar Renodin at Askileon to an event. While traveling there, he is awarded the title Lord of Smokey Hills by King Seoras Nifelleisca. To show his allegiance, he has taken up the faith the Ecclesial Sanguiastroism.

Arriving at Smokey Hills, he sets up the "Iron Wrath" garrison for special forces and holds court, but is reluctant to set up an Ecclesial Sanguiastroism establishment due to the population's faith in other religions.

He aids in the defense of Moon Bay from D'Haran forces.

Monster invasions occurs in Smokey Hills but he is able to repel them thanks to help from fellow Lurian nobles.

He marched to Maf to join the assault against the Fissoans.

The divide of Luria Nova

Gilbert returns from the skirmishes. For his military service and for constructing a Ecclesial Sanguiastroism building, he is awarded lordship of Garuck Udor. He ceases all military activity with Luria Nova and proceeds to visit his new home.

He is saddened to see the departure of Lords Shintuk and Marius Janelle, both who he fought with during their time in Asylon.

Gilbert is surprised that the duchy of Sunhall is to become its own realm, Luria Boreal. He worries whether this will cause any change for him but hopes that his new duke Lord Arkady Mayhem will lead the new realm towards properity.

For his service, he is named vice-Marshal of the Austere Swords, the army of Luria Boreal.

Rise of the Demons

Tensions with Swordfell

Gilbert is alarmed that Swordfell declares war on Luria Boreal. He wonders whether having a single individual collecting those portal stones is a good idea, especially with commoners summoning demons into Dwilight at the moment.

He meets Seoras, his former duke again when the latter visits Shinnen.

Arkady Mayhem, the demon worshipper

As tension between the Paladin and the ESA increases, Gilbert struggles between his allegiance for the ESA and his allegiance to Mayhem, his overlord. He stays neutral in the conflict, despite Mayhem pressuring him to support him.

Despite his want of neutrality, he ends being involved in the uprising of Shinnen, led by his former duke the Penitent Protector Seoras, and the Iron Fury is forced to take down a few commoners in selfdefense. This results in the remove of Mayhem from his lordship in Shinnen, yet he still retains control over Luria Boreal.

Bishop Thalanteus reports strange sightings in Smokey Hills suggesting a demon summoning. Gilbert realises too late he was supporting everything the ESA stood against for but is alarmed when Mayhem arrives with a troops in Shinnen, which he assumes is to hunt down Seoras - he cannot therefore hunt Stoner, the suspected summoner.

Back in ESA hands

Stoner attempts to open a portal but a mysterious beam of light disrupts the ritual, leading to the commoner's demise. The Penitent Protector causes another uprising in Shinnen which overthrows Mayhem from his lordship. Gilbert remains neutral in the conflict.

With the support of Bishop Thalanteus, Gilbert is named the new High Paladin of Luria Boreal and Earl of Ciarin Tut, under the leadership of the new Holy Guardian Cyrilla Larkspur

Another portal

Another commoner, who had some connections with Stoner opens another portal, this time in Shinnen. As High Paladin, Gilbert prioritises the monster attacks on Moon Bay instead.

After many days, the portal brings forth...dopplegangers of some Luria Boreal's citizens.

Ventures in the North

Over the next few months, it is revealed that Arkady Mayhem was conspiring to use the stones to bring forth demons onto the continent, and declares war on Luria Nova. Despite the latter giving him the title "Paladin" (equivalent of General), Gilbert hesitates to act against his former nation. He ultimately sides with Luria Nova, and Luria Boreal once more becomes part of Luria Nova.

AFter several years of peace, Gilbert becomes restless for action and so leaves his lordship at Garuck Udor and heads for the Westfold, as he heard it was formed by Asylonians. There, he joins the campaign against Swordfell and Astrum. He however falls ill during the fight with Westfold and misses out on the action during his lordship of North Divide.

War with Astrum

Westfold peace with Astrum is no longer existent. Sir Gilbert joins the war effort.

Immigration to Avernus

As Westfold is overwhelmed by Astrumese forces, the leadership of Westfold secure a safe haven at Avernus for their nobles. Gilbert flees with the others to Ymer's Fall. He disbands the "Iron Fury".

He officially leaves his estate in Unterstrom, hoping to move in to Nifelheim. There he recruits MI unit with its new captain Tomas, renaming it as the "Khalkar Rangers" as homage to the Westfold.

Notable members of the family:
