History of Asylon
In the land of Caerwyn, the ideal that became Asylon was hatched. In this land the true beginning of Asylon stands, and it is a beginning fraught with expectations, failures, perseverance, and finally success.

In the summer of the 9th year of Dwilight the City of Echiur realized the beauty of the religion Verdis Elementum and swore loyalty to Caerwyn and her loyal priest Graeth Geg. Priest Graeth Geg soon handed control of Echiur over to Lord Cleon Cullom destined to become the first emperor. Echiurfield soon joined the Duchy and as winter fell across the realms of Dwilight, Asylon declared Independence. The six brave nobles who focused their lives to the foundation of Asylon now saw that dream come true, and it was beautiful. Emperor Cleon, Imperial Strategos Hengist, High Magestrate Gladia, Treasury Logothete Maerwynn, Lady Moria, and Priest Graeth Geg enjoyed a well earned feast in Echiur as the new flag was raised across this now hopeful city. And as many emigrants from Thulsoma joined the cause, Asylon faced a bright future.

The dream of Asylon began in Caerwyn in ages past. Intrepid explorers and nobles of like mind gathered within the republic and planned to one day found a new kingdom in the city of Echiur. Long abandoned and overrun by foul beasts. They headed out into the wilds of Dwilight and made that dream come true.

But winter soon fell as Emperor Cleon, under the pressure of carving out a land for Asylon, had a mental and physical collapse. Silence was all that could be heard, and Asylon began to question if he was fit to rule. Widespread discontent gained voice and fervent requests went unheeded. Emperor Cleon Cullom, the bedrock and foundation of Asylon, had gone silent.
+
The kingdom was founded under an auspicious star and grew quickly and stretched out into other lands around. The kingdoms first ruler was Emperor  Cleon Cullom and he served with honour and cultivated the kingdom in its infancy and insured that it would grow strong. A priest came and in the 9th year of Dwilight, the foundation of Asylons first religion by Priest Graeth Geg was realized Verdis Elementum.

To end this silence and work towards the betterment of Asylon there was a revolt, and Emperor Cleon Cullom reign ended. Glaumring Apasurian a original Thulsoman and lord of the Bloodmoon banner seized the throne in an effort to save the kingdom from a meandering and slow death through neglect and lack of communication. The revolt took place because of percieved bias within the government structure of Asylon that neglected the Thulsoman majority and also regarding the lack of communication or urgency in the Emperor to unify Asylon as a single nation. Elements in Caerwyn tried to make the revolt into a religious takeover by Sanguis Astroism. Thulsoman nobles are primarily of the Sanguis Astroist faith. King Glaumring has repeatedly stated his desire to maintain a secular state of religious freedom within Asylon. He has also said that in times of stability he would like to personally fund the enlargement of the Verdis Elementum temple in Eichur. Leaving religion up to region lords. The revolt is still relatively controversial outside of Asylon, within Asylon many supported it and joined the rebellion with only a few siding with the loyalist forces. King Glaumring has repeatedly said that the outside forces desire to make the revolt into something bigger than it actually was in an attempt to thwart Asylonian sovereignty.

The original 6 founders of Asylon were Emperor Cleon, Imperial Strategos Hengist, High Magestrate Gladia, Treasury Logothete Maerwynn, Lady Moria, and Priest Graeth Geg.

Glaumring has repeatedly stressed that the old Thulsomans and the old Caerwynians no longer speak of eachother as one or the other as seperate groups of people, but to work on using 'Asylonian' for both sides. Glaumring has made repeated speeches on 'new Asylonian Nationalism and independence'. King Glaumring had a successful reign, but it was not without its difficulties, primary among them was Caerwyn. Communication with Caerwyn since the takeover had ceased. Caerwyn had repeatedly expressed their hatred for Sanguis Astroism. Asylon had repeatedly ask that Caerwyn respect their sovereignty and leave religion out of it. But alas the alignment of King Glaumring hindered any progress in this diplomatic realm. Therefore, King Glaumring graciously stepped down as ruler of Asylon, making way for Ambassador Moritz Von Igelfeld.

Then a time came when across the vast land a group of people with a history and culture different than the Asylonians and Caerwynian started moving, fleeing across the vast land of Dwilight as refugees. The Thulsoma were not of the Verdis Elementum faith. They hailed from the eastern continent and worshiped the stars of Sanguis Astroism and for reasons of perecution in their original kingdom they fled as far away from the east lands that they could and hearing of Asylon they made their way there.

As Ambassador, Moritz gained significant renown as the first human to successfully negotiate a treaty with the Diamon's of Dwilight, and thereby securing the duchy of Koshtlom. This accomplishment alongside his mitigation of Caerwynian concerns made him the affective heir to the throne. Thus far under the kingship of Moritz the first temple to Sanguis Astroism was constructed in Vakreno Heaps, and Caerwyn has noted that although this king has come from their stock, he is not their puppet.

It was then when Lord Glaumring Viscount of Vakreno heaps seized power in a coupe and there reformed the kingdom into a monarchy and changed many of the laws and made the kingdom a monarchy. His rule was controversial and the republic of Caerwyn would not speak nor recognize his rule. The kingdom was at many instances threatened with destruction. For Glaumring and the Thulsomans were Astroists and considered repugnant by the Caerwyn republic. All was dark in this time. Asylon is a realm of idealism seeking to bring forth the restoration of what was once the strongest territory of Dwilight. Built on the ashes of the great Ancient Echiur Dynasty, a land that has been ravished by monsters and undead alike now welcome the authority and protection of Asylon. Located in the western hill region of the Far West, the city of Echiur stands as the capital of Asylon, a beacon of hope to the surrounding regions still terrorized by vile beasts and the unholy dead. Asylon marches forth under the motto of "Yaratma" Create, "Yenileme" Restore, and "Bozulmasını" Preserve we seek to resurrect this once dead land.

History of Asylon

The dream of Asylon began in Caerwyn in ages past. Intrepid explorers and nobles of like mind gathered within the republic and planned to one day found a new kingdom in the city of Echiur. Long abandoned and overrun by foul beasts. They headed out into the wilds of Dwilight and made that dream come true.

The original 6 founders of Asylon were Emperor Cleon, Imperial Strategos Hengist, High Magestrate Gladia, Treasury Logothete Maerwynn, Lady Moria, and Priest Graeth Geg.

They were led by Glaumring Apasurain the Thulsoma founder and once king of the Thulsoman land. He brought with him 6 nobles and there they entered Asylon and were welcomed as equals. Yet, a strange thing occurred and the emperor became withdrawn, he was silent and the kingdom for long stretches was a place without communication. Glaumring tried his best to unite the kingdom and forge a new Asylonian nationalism. He served for a time and then stepped down to allow another to lead.

King Moritz Von Igelfield was crowned king on a fine day and he was a renowned and skilled Ambassador for Asylon. He was a gifted negotiator and worked closely with securing many treaties with the Zuma Daimons in the southlands and Caerwyn to the north. He also returned to Caerwyn at one point and secured a vast amount of gold and food for Asylon and returned a hero. He was of the Verdis faith and Caerwyn found favour with him and he served with less of the drama and shadowy pall that Lord Glaumring had held over him. It was under King Moritz that peace was signed with the Daimon Zuma Haktoo. King Moritz also upheld Asylons tolerance of religion and allowed the foundation of a small temple to Sanguis Astroism in Vakreno heaps. As King Mortiz served for a time and then when he felt, in the tradition of Asylonian kings he stepped down while still in his health and handed the crown to another.

It was during this time that the northern republic of Caerwyn became more fundamentalist in its belief in Verdis Elementum and began to call out for war with the theocracies of Sanguis Astroism. They declared war on the theocracy of Astrum and war began across the world of Dwilight. Soon Morek and Corsanctum and Libero and Summerdale on the side of the Astroists with Averoth and Madina on the side of Verdis Elementum their long fued instigated by forces on both side threatened to tear the world apart. Asylon like others instead of rushing to aide Caerwyn, chose neutrality to better focus on the strength of their new small kingdom.

Queen Zhoesya Adriddae came to power as an Astroist queen. Once again Asylon would switch between the religions and its balance maintained. More will be added here as her reign progresses.

Asylon is young and already like a tempest storm it rages and has had an interesting history. Two religions, two seperate peoples, from two seperate continents in one kingdom. Asylon now united as one must learn to work with eachother, to tame the hostile land around them and survive... Join us in this endeavour and become apart of the legend of Asylon.

Culture

Our flag stands for our brotherhood with Caerwyn and our differences in culture and history the Griffon is black and the banner is yellow facing away from Caerwyn yet in unity with their original concept. Our society is one of unification between different cultures and peoples, and although we originated from Caerwyn, very early on many nobles from the realm of Thulsoma joined. The story of the Caerwynian nobles who split to become Asylon is outlined in our history, but the story of these Thulsomians is greatly deserving of attention as it equates to almost half of the culture of Asylon. (insert story here).

Our society is greatly enriched by the joining of these two cultures, the diversity of nobles and strength of each segment has enabled a greater understanding of the people and the culture now in our care.
