Emblem of Vakreno Heaps.

Description

Vakreno heaps is a stark land dotted with ancient mounds, or heaps as the locals will at times call them. The mounds are man-made and probably thousands of years old. No one knows as of now why they were made.

To the north is the great sea and there is a single mountain peak that juts out of the land and whipped with wind and rain and perpetually shrouded this mountain is a festering breeding ground for a shaggy ape-like hillbeast that at times will come down into the plains and raid and pillage. The beasts are kno wn as the 'Dradak' for the sound they make when they call out to eachother in the night when around the lands of man.

Another feature of Vakreno is a small town and interestingly enough it houses a small 'university of Dwilight' and also it is whispered a guild for 'the Cult of Bloodmoon' which is little known and often people will gossip about the goings on within its secret halls. Also on a hill there is a small stone platform with a stairway and altar at the top, an astrolab in bronze is fused to the altar and the mechanism always faces towards three glowing red orbs in the sky, this is the temple for 'Sanguis Astroism'. In the center of the village is the Lord of Vakreno's stone house and it is walled off from the general populace within its gates an orchard with many strange tree's known as the Bloodmoon fruit tree grow here.

Under the lordship of Ven Dhalgren the fruit is now kept tightly guarded and none is let out of the estate without her command.

To the south is lakekland and swamp, there is said to be some sort of aquatic beast that resides here and is very seldom seen, yet when one is not careful and fishing by the shore it is said that these fishmen will grab you and pull you down beneath the lakes black impenetrable depths.
