Stromsfiord Family
The Stromsfiord Family hails from Ash'rily in the Ash Sea Islands of Atamara where the first son is now fighting to preserve his homeland. It is said that the family originally came from the northern lands of Atamara at some point in there history but that information is lost in time. The family itself still has something of a northern accent and attitude.
Landesred
Landesred is the first son of the family Stromsfiord. He is a troop leader of Ash Sea Islands and editor of the Ash Sea Chronicle. He first took up the sword at the age of 20 to defend his home from the cruel invaders from Abington during their war to seize the islands. He raised a company of infantry amongst his young friends in Ash'rily and set out untrained and unequipped with only the handful of boys from his neighborhood, naming his unit Strombjard after the rumored ancestral home of the clan.
The giant army of Abington had bypassed Ash'rily and made its way to the capital at Ser'quea. This provided an opportunity for the Ash'rily forces, under the command of Wallace, to wreak havoc in the enemy supply lines. Within days the small army had fought three battles against reinforcements trying to reach the main army of Abington, leaving the enemy scattered and in chaos. These battles in Worav forced Abington to break off some of the besieging forces around Ser'quea, lessening the pressure on the capital.
Landesred fought in two more successful skirmishes in front of Ash'rily before Abington mounted a major assault on the city. The defenders were heavily outnumbered and faced a large experienced Abingtonian army heavily equipped with siege engines. The few brave defenders fought for hours before Abingtonian troops pushed their way into the city. The Abingtonian spirit broke with the death of the hero Feldric and the encouraged defenders forced the attackers back away from the city. All told, this was seven battles and seven victories for Landesred against Abingtonian foes.
After so much success, the next few weeks were a tragedy for Landesred and the whole Stromsfiord clan. Abington, having been rebuffed so many times, called in Carelia and Redspan to do what they could not. This combined forced attacked Ash'rily with the strength of three empires. The plucky defenders put up a great fight but could not overcome the resources of three allied powers, all richer than itself.
Ash'rily was taken and Landesred successfully picked his way through enemy lines over several hard days, the flames of the dishonorable pillaging and raping of his home city visible in the sky to the south. He successfully made his way back to Ser'quea and took part in the successful defense of that place until the cease-fire was affected.
With Redspan and Carelia unwilling to compromise, Landesred was reassigned to the province of Barnlure to meet the Carelian invasion. Carelian forces attacked the outnumbered defenders at Barnlure and were repulsed. Landesred and his men charged forward to deliver the final blow.
Landesred is a patriot of the Ash Sea Islands and a strong supporter of King Doc's Revenge, refusing to consider that his homeland would be stripped away from Ash Sea Islands.

Selesred
Selesred is the second son of the family Stromsfiord. He first took up the sword at the age of 17 after his elder brother had fought in his first three battles. Selesred hopes to someday become wealthy through trade but his desires must be put aside as he takes up the sword during the hard days of war.
Selesred cares little about prestige and has been known to work for a living. He styles himself a bard and has been known to deliver a song or limerick from time to time. While imprisoned in Abington, Selesred regaled his fellow prisoners and Gauihu, the Judge of Abington with various songs and ditties about the personality and proclivities of King Gabriel. These tales earned him a visit by the Abington Judge himself to comment on Selesred's artistic abilities.
Selesred has participated in several battles, including both of the great battles at Ash'rily.
Arkanskaya
Arkanskaya is a half-brother. His mother was an elf out of Sirion visiting Atamara. Arkanskaya was accepted into the family and is treated as a beloved son and brother. But he wanted to make his own way and felt drawn to his elvish heritage and set out for the East Continent.
Arkanskaya arrived in Sirion just moments before the greatest battle the world has ever known. The recapturing of Avamar from the evil Drow elves. Arkanskaya found himself at the center of the Avamarian wall during the height of the battle and was one of the first to charge over the broken siege engines into the city.
To make the long journey to Sirion and arrive at this crucial moment seemed to be fate to Arkanskaya and reaffirmed his decision to come to Sirion. Arkanskaya is a quiet individual, probably due to his status as not quite elf, not quite human. Arkanskaya serves Sirion quietly but devotedly.
After the battle there was a great need for bureaucrats to help recover from the war. Arkanskaya preferred battle but decided to serve because the realm needed it. After taking on the role he began to appreciate the freedom that this type of service afforded him and how it was so necessary for the health of the people. For this reason, Arkanskaya decided to spend the majority of his days serving the people of Sirion in advancing economically. Arkanskaya takes to the battlefield only when his presence his definitively required during time of war.
