The Son Clan

Background

The Son Clan dates back longer than any viking can count (which is technically not very long). It was established in Icegate, icy capitol of the Makarian Vikings of the lost continent of Atamara. The house was thought lost for ages until it re-emerged on the East Continent in Poitiers. Members of this clan are known for their physical strength, immense fortitude and incredibly stupid names. The Clan has no known enemies.

Members from the First Age

Lint

A brash viking and very prominent member of the Makarian horde. Lint is currently the clan's lead bannerman. Lint's career began with an explosion. It is said the very foundations of Icegate shook when he was born. Raised to be a warrior, Lint lives for battle. It was not long at all before he became a fearsome hero known for his braggart, enormous appetite, mighty axe and as the awesome leader of the Merry Murderers. Here is a list of Lint's many fantastic feats and accomplishments:

• caused an earthquake in Icegate when he was born
• single handedly dragged an entire herd of dead horses all the way from Abington so that he may have a one-man banquet.
• introduced a Talerian technology known as 'the straw' to the Barony so that vikings may drink during a blizzard.
• dueled against Tyrant Lord Sordnaz three times and lived
• commander of the super infamous unit, the Merry Murderers
• one time Marshal of the Horde of Makar
• one time Banker of the Barony
• has looted in excess of 500 gold in his career
• double handedly bashed a hole through the walls of Stargard. Arguably the most heavily fortified city in all of Atamara.
• if brawling was a tournament event, he would be the champion
• horses in Eston still drop dead upon hearing his roar despite the end of hostilities many years ago.
• voted Atamaras 'most wanted to be raped by'

Jetti

Once an aspiring chef, Jetti gave up her apron for a bow. Why? Because she came across a realm named Redspan. When she arrived she was but a youngster, becoming a fiercely devout believer of Da Way and the dirtyness of Da Great One. When the great city of Sullenport was returned to Redspan, she fell in love instantly. However not long after, the shimmering city (along with Rogeshore) was annexed by the Ash Sea Islands and she swore to see it returned before her death. During this tumultuous era she became Countess of Atblane but instantly gave up the title the moment Sullenport was reinstated.

Jetti has seen much in her humble career. A frequent drunkard, terrifying singer and member of the inner-circle; many of her dreams have come to fruition. The re-establishment of Da Great Highway from Stargard to Sullenport. She was even marshal of the "The Drunk Hairy Smelly Army of Redspan", which was at one point the most powerful army in all of Redspan.

One fately day in August Jetti was bestowed the most honourary title of Duchess of Sullenport. Never in her life did she believe she would one day be the protector of her most beloved city. However times are hard and she will have to work hard to ensure Redspan and Sullenport survive the great war.

Veni

The eldest and most experienced of the current generation of Son Clan careerists. Not only does she inherit the strength and tenacity of her viking lineage, but she has far more wits than any family member to date. Her career began in a baptism of fire, amidst the war between Caligus and Yssaria. Through she was a powerful warrior, she chose to put aside her sword to help maintain the realm. Recieving only a pittance in taxes she rose to become first, the Baroness of Aestus, then ultimately the Marchioness of Tokat and keeper of the east. After Caligus was driven from their lands Veni went into semi-retirement. She married her long-time partner, the Royal Vlad Nosferatus, hero of Tokat and gave birth to fraternal twins, Iwan and Sea. She now serves as the realms mentor. Veni is mostly serious and is a woman of very few words. However she has learned to lighten up a little over the times. It is rumoured that she taught Jetti how to cook.

Impri

Little is known about this small and bitter individual but one thing is for certain, Impri thrives in the shadows of Beluaterra...

Members from the Current Age

Lint

Named after a famous ancestor, Lint could not be further from his namesake. A vain individual with sycophanthic tendences Lint follows orders without question and operates mindlessly for the realm. Nonetheless genetics have played their part and Lint is a powerful knight in his own right and is the self-appointed head of the family. Lint currently has a rather unremarkable career in Eponllyn as the Count of Troyes.

Jandar

Jandar is true to his viking roots. Violent, brave and dumb as a post. Jandar has made a name for himself on Beluaterra in the realm of Gotland as a mighty warrior and the leader of an elite cavalry unit known as the Speed Goats. He has also become a zealot of the herd, having many visions of a deity known as the Great-Two-Legged-Goat. Despite his affinity to physical prowess Jandar is a loyal character, who loves to make friends. He favours might over politics, believing in the rule of the strongest. He also possesses a dagger fashioned out of an undead tailbone that lodged itself into his chest, causing a serious wound. The interactions with the Great-Two-Legged-Goat who leaps and responsibility as ruler of Gotland has mellowed his demeanour somewhat, curbing his tendency for violence and nuturing his pastoral nature.

Sairyn

Sairyn is perhaps the most competent noble to ever come out of the Son Clan. Heartfelt, dedicated and wily Sairyn has had a successful career on Dwilight serving the realm of Westgard. Romanced by tales of the shield of humanity Sairyn left her ancestral home as soon as she could to join the famed realm. She is currently the Margravine of Golden Farrow, the most warred over city in all of Dwilight.

Radis

A somewhat scorned cousin of the primary line, Radis is a functioning psychopath who uses devotion to the Beppo to satisfy his bloodthirsty nature. Although his gruff demeanour is affable, those who know him best are eternally fearful of his hidden manic tendencies. He is extremely calculating, using his measured might and charisma to achieve his personal goals. He is currently the Head Flogger and Instigator for People's Democratic Republic of Ikalak: a role he relishes greatly.
