Dafayo Vashmere Banished; The Blackest Cult Outlawed
Although cries went out for the immediate banishment of Dafayo Vashmere, relative of the infamous Vatticus, when he first entered the realm of Abington, the government maintained a policy of tolerance and fairness which enabled him to stay despite his status as an outlaw.

This tolerance was thrown back in the face of Abington's nobles when, to no one's real surprise, Dafayo maintained a hostile, arrogant and eventually criminal attitude towards Lords, Dukes and finally Royalty. Dafayo was banished today, with a promise of immediate execution upon capture. According to Dafayo's words and his recent ban-lifting by Moses, he is suspected to be heading towards refuge in ASI.

It was also revealed today that the government strongly suspected based upon his actions in Eston that Dafayo was a member of the so-called Blackest Cult, but was again trying to maintain a tolerant position. When his outrage upon banishment essentially confirmed his membership, Dafayo's actions have prompted Arch Priest Gauihu to proclaim that the Blackest Cult was now officially outlawed in Abington.

Blackest Cult members "will be henceforth tried for witchcraft under Writ of the Law I. 19, the punishment for a conviction thereof being execution by burning at the stake," according to the judge's recent announcement.

Darkan Assassin Executed
An infiltrator from Darka, by the name of Darmargo, was executed four days ago for the attempted assassination of Arch Priest Gauihu. The sentence was rendered as if Darmargo was a noble,

yet by all known accounts Darmargo was a commoner, not even held to be a noble in the lands of Darka.

The execution by Fitting caused minor controversy, mainly from the judges of Darka and Ash Sea Islands, both of whom are famous for their staunch anti-Abington political views. However, two other judges did voice their distaste for the method.

The execution prompted enraged judge Lavigna of Darka to promise to execute any and all Abington prisoners she could. This came as no surprise to Abington, although it is either further insult or irrationality from Darka for them to so compare their common gutter-criminals with any noble-born.

Undead Uprisings - Fate or Darkan Necromancy?
Rauxod. Forblane. Alimonne. Tintar. Trawiy. Hawthorne. Massillion. Melias. Lamoni. Alcatil. Ravening. Ledunds. Sullenport. Stargard. Vornion. Winwich. In these but few regions, battles have occurred between the undead and the armies of the living world. What is the cause of this historic plague of undeath?

According to Arch Priest Gauihu, the undead invasions are the result of Darkan necromancy. When Abington's armies arrived to relieve Redspan's in the siege of Stargard, the undead had risen there. Gauihu castigated the Darkans who, he believed, had not only been a little too coincidental in invading Redspan at the same time the undead were, but were outright responsible for the walking corpses. In the ensuing battle against the undead hordes, neither Darka nor Talerium participated, instead choosing to sit on the sidelines, apparently uncaring whether men or demonic beasts won the field. This he cited as further evidence of Darkan collusion.

With the recent outlawing of the Blackest Cult (which openly professes to be evil) in Abington, further review into the case of Vatticus reveals that not only is Vatticus a publically known member of that cult, but he was granted safe haven, position, wealth and power in Darka. Furthermore, according to statements also in public record, Vatticus claims his role as marshal includes such duties as, "controlling the undead." This also supports the view that the Black Cult, with Darkan complicity, is responsible for the undead invasions.

However, the invasions of undead do not seem entirely to benefit Darka, which prompted the judge to suggest that while Darkans may have initiated the rise of the walking dead, they could not successfully harness or focus them to their advantage. Others however, remain skeptical about the whole thing. The issue is one of serious study and no doubt of great import to all sovereign realms of Atamara.
