Stromhar Family

The Stromhar Family hail from Madina, Dwilight traditionally - where Umerith I Stromhar was elevated to Low Nobility in the service of Madinan Kings.

Origins

Umerith I was the middle child of three, an older Brother and a younger Sister, and Son to a Pagan Fishing Village Chief in the South of Dwilight. Umerith's older brother was trained and educated to one day run the village of Strom and the surrounding area for the local Lord - an area that had been horribly blighted by Monsters. Umerith, not seeing much future in Strom, signed on with a local mercenary company and picked up a sword for a living at the age of 17 Summers old.

Whilst part of this mercenary company, Umerith was taught by the Quartermaster to read and write, and learned basic trade practices as his time with the mercenary company went on - it was planned he would one day take over the duties as Quartermaster, but after a particularly bad run-in with a large swathe of Monsters, Umerith found himself the newly appointed leader of the mercenary band on account of his education and basic training.

Umerith would go on to lead the Mercenary company for many years until a missive arrived informing him of his Older Brother's death during a monster raid of his home village - returning home with his mercenary band, Umerith cleared the village of monsters and was appointed Chief of the Village as a result by the grateful villagers.

Umerith converted most of the mercenary company into local militia, and later wed a Madinan Merchant's daughter by the name of Eleanor. With her formal training, higher education and trade-knowledge, Eleanor would go on to bring further trade and wealth to the village whilst Umerith managed the defense. For their efforts, and due to his marriage to Low Nobility indirectly, Umerith was appointed "Umerith I Stromhar" and was elevated to Low Nobility in Madina.

The Stromhar Family would continue to rule over their small corner of the world until the death of Umerith I, aged 55. Umerith I was buried as a loving Father, family man and honourable Warrior concerned with the common man.

Houses

House Umerith

House Umerith was founded upon elevation to Low Nobility by Umerith I in Dwilight. Upon his Umerith I's death, Umerith II took his place as Head of the Family and Household. House Umerith is currently the most prestigious of the Stromhar Houses, though it will remain to be seen for how long.

Umerith II Stromhar - One of the Founders of Tol Goldora, Vestarch of the Realm and accomplished author/ambassador. Eldest Son of Umerith I, Founder of the Family.

Commoners

Eoghan the Bard - An accomplished Bard and Nephew of Umerith I.

House Valian

House Valian was founded in the realm of Beluaterra. Valian Stromhar, the middle-born Son of Umerith I took up residence in Caelint - soon becoming a respect Hero of the People in the service of the Nation.

Nobles

Valian Stromhar - A Hero in the service of Caelint. A valiant Warrior and skilled Swordsman, though a glory-hound all the same.
Llewyn Stromhar - Cousin of the main branch of the Stromhar Family, temporarily inherited place as Head of House Valian when Valian went missing.

House Stanmore

The youngest Son of Umerith I set off to the Eastern Lands in order to find his own path - there, he shed the reputation as a Merchant Family and became a respect Statesman and Hero of Perleone.

Nobles

Stanmore Stromhar - Stanmore initially arrived as a Drunkard and lowly impoverished Noble, but quickly rose to a respected position as Hero, Skilled Warrior and Religious Statesman in Perleone.

Commoners

Elian the Half-Elf - An illegitimate child born between a secret daliance between a Sirion Elf and Umerith I during his Mercenary years. Adventurer and Spellcaster.
