Cairo

Viscount of Odenir, Lord Justicar of Summerdale

Cairo began his knighthood shortly after coming of age, and swore an oath of fealty to Wesleth Hobbs, then lord of Ymer's Fall. Though young and inexperienced, his career started early enough that he was able to personally witness the destruction of Thulsoma. He joined the group of nobles escorting King Joash into Storms Keep, the last region Thulsoma controlled, for the final negotiations before the fortress was brought into Summerdale.

During a time of peace for Summerdale, Cairo was named vice-marshal of the realm's only active army. It was around this time that the general, Eirik Rauoa Veder Saga, was found to be a traitor spying for the realm of Averoth. During a monster hunting campaign under the new general, Cairo passed through the villages of Odenir, Lord Eirik's region. He took pity on the overtaxed, hungry commoners there, and lent them the aid of his unit. Only a day later, on his way out of the region, he was surrounded by a crowd of peasants and hailed as their lord. King Joash recognized his claim as legitimate, and he began a long period of rebuilding in the region, helped by other members of the realm.

As vice-marshal, Viscount Cairo helped lead Summerdale's army into Averoth territory, supporting the Astroist realms during the Siege of Valkyrja. After the army returned home, Summerdale enjoyed an era of peace and stability. King Joash stepped down from the throne, and with Queen Amalie's ascension a reform of the government was called for. In the midst of this reform, Cairo was voted as the new Lord Justicar of the realm, a position he has held to this day.

Mathilda

Baroness of Arempos, Crown Princess of Sorraine, Bishop of the diocese of Ozrat

Mathilda began traveling around the age of nineteen, leaving her home of Dwilight to find glory elsewhere. After a year long journey, she finally found herself in the island realm of Arcachon, where she settled upon learning of the war there. She swore an oath of fealty to Lord Wilson Hendrix of Mnalor, and began fighting for Arcachon.

After the fall of Enlod, Mathilda was persuaded to join Ohnar West, where she became a knight of Duchess Taylin Indirik, of Akanos. During her time in Ohnar West, she joined the Church of Sartan, and was appointed Baroness of Arempos.

She remained in the duchy of Ozrat after it changed allegiance to Toupellon, and eventually served as marshal during the war with Ohnar West. Near the end of the war, Mathilda grew discontent over the state of the duchy under Toupellon's banner. She began a discussion with her liege, Caspius Arundel, and helped him envision the new realm of Sorraine, a Sartanist theocracy. She was entrusted with the title of Crown Princess of Sorraine for her loyalty after the secession.
