Introduction

Chaos Temple is a stronghold on Chaos Island, at the northwest edge of Kalmar Bay. It's existence was formerly unknown until the Great Eruption. After that monks took over the then abandoned temple to practice their own sects' rituals and prayers. Chaos Temple connects via sea routes to both Bastad on the southern island and Kalmar on the northern island, making this Stronghold an important location.

Chaos Temple was led by Duke Hylor until the tyrant El Cid's rebellion when the region was given to Langul temporarily, followed by a permanent election of Janus. During the invasion of the islands by Perdan to remove the Avamar-led government, there were many Dukes appointed, owing to the repeated capture and assassinations of the reigning Dukes. Following the fall of Chaos Isle to Perdan, Johann Hynes was given the temporary title of Duke until it could be turned over to the new realm, known as the Obsidian Islands.

• Johann Hynes - Duke Johann was charged with the responsibility of restoring Chaos Temple to its former glory and repairing the destruction caused during the Kalmarian War of Secession by both the prior government and the invasion.

• Janus - Janus received a city in poor shape following the rebellion. The city had only 100 peasants and no infrastructure. Duek Janus built huge walls, many recruitment centers, and many paraphernalia. The City was made a flourishing center with 1500 peasants prior to the invasion by Perdan and Itorunt.

Economy

The Chaos Temple is primarily a farming economy, with a modest administrative sector attached to the Stronghold. What little gold it makes (it is among the poorest regions of the continent) comes mostly from a small core of traders and manufacturers.
