War Vs Peace
|
A discussion in Perdan on a peaceful existance versing joining in future wars was had in Perdan today. One member in Perdan put forth the following statement for the consideration of those who believed peace should be maintained at all cost:
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

New Arch Priestess in Perdan!
|
TRLs own chief editor, Lady Balkeese, won the Arch Priestess election in Perdan today. Arch Priestess Balkeese addressed the realm just after her appointment:
Thank you all, nobles of Perdan, for imparting your trust upon me. It is indeed a great honor to be chose as the Arch Priestess of a realm as rich in worthy caandidates as is Perdan. With all of the available candidates, your decision must have been very difficult. I will endeavour to work hard to prove myself worthy of your trust.
As is traditional in Perdan, I will step down from the lordship of Montauban, and the Marshal of the army of Aix, as soon as Duke Screndt has chosen a noble to take up the responsibility of these positions.
Lady Balkeese
Arch Priestess of Perdan, Countess of Montauban, Marshal of the army of Aix
Congratulations Arch Priestess Balkeese! - written by Evangeline
