The Beginning
Ralina is the sister of Taylin. She first appeared as a noble of Fontan, on the East Island, joining at the conclusion of Fontans long war against Sirion. Fontan had been soundly crushed, and beaten to within in an inch of destruction before they surrendered. The realm Ralina joined was in a shambles, with only one region supporting recruiting centers. Most of the regions were depopulated and almost completely devoid of any infrastructure at all. She quickly became a knight of Krimml, with a very lucrative oath income, especially for one so young an inexperienced.
Ralina's time in Fontan was not very enjoyable. The nobility of Fotnan were greatly embittered as a result of their forced surrender. Most of the realm was full of hatred for their former enemies, and nearly all of their neighbors. Ralina tried several times to rouse the realm from its torpor, with no success. The nobles of Fontan seemed disinterested in anything, only wanting to wallow in their hatred and bitterness. Ralina grew disgusted with Fontan and all that it had become. After having been in the realm for just over six months, she traveled to the townsland of Negev and took ship for Beluaterra.
