Prominant Fronenian speaks out... AGAIN!=

Lord Enzeru, a candidate for Prime Minister and a man honroed with many title has requested that the Commentator print some of his messages. The following is a controversial letter sent by Prime Minister Cedric(not Enzeru) to all Fronen nobles.

"Orders from Cedric (8 hours, 56 minutes ago) Message sent to everyone in your realm (46 recipients) To the editors of the Fronen Commentator:

Request from Delvin (8 hours, 45 minutes ago) Cedric, is there any way you can convince the editors of the Fronen Commentator to print a correction to their recent article which presents the rebels' lies as fact?

We did not mutilate the body, we did not give it to the peasants, and we did not refuse to give it to the rebels for burial. In fact, it was handed over today.

It does not speak well for our alliance if even your nobles seem to enjoy spreading damaging lies about our execution of a dangerous traitor.

Guardian of the Sun

Sir Delvin Prime Minister of Riombara

I would like to see the correction printed as soon as possible.

Regards

Cedric Prime Minister of Fronen"

---

In turn Lord Enzeru said this:

"Cedric, I could understand where your coming from...especially getting pressure from Delvin. However, I do believe that your friend in the south is holding back a few details that are in need of listening to.

This is a letter I received from Lady Baiko about the situation with Marc and his body, after sending the concerning letter that Delvin gave to us:

Letter from Baiko Greetings Sir Enzeru,

Thank you kindly for sending me this information. I, however, have an issue with this line about us already receiving the body today. We don't have the body as far as I can see. Our ambassador, Duke Torrero, was arrested by Marche's men when he went to claim the body (Marche is the escort of the body beleive it or not, despite him being the one who was to "do what he will" with our King's body). So with our ambassador in prison, we have yet to receive the body.

By the way...if I'm not mistaken, isn't it that we have the right to speak our minds in the Fronen Commentator and abroad, as we are members of a Republic?"

---

and Beowulf, Count of Ieara made this intuitive comment:

"The Fronen Commentator is for opinions and propaganda..this is one of the first things you see when you open the paper. The views expressed by the writers of the commentary have clearly stated that their words are but only opinions and in this particular article they also state that it may not be completely true. It is up for interpretation to who ever reads it. And in no way does it need to be changed. If you agree it is your opinion and if not it is also your opinion, that is the purpose of a Commentator to arouse comments create discussion and they are protected by this to print what ever they wish. Foreign rule no matter how powerful, has absolutely no control or even the slightest say in what we write in our opinionated papers. And I for one am now more then ever disgusted by Delvin's latest actions."

It seems a rift is growing...

Disagreement on Death

Apologies to my co-editor, however I think execution was justified. So-called King Marc bought the title of Duke and quickly seceded just as the new King Distorted of Alluran did. Regardless of his motives, he took Riombaran land and declared war on them. Marc caused great damage to Riombara and indeed committed high treason. If Marc were a lowly infiltrator he'd be executed on the spot, so why then should he, having done more damage than an infiltrator get less of a punishment? His death was quick and painless and perfectly within Riombara's right. I do not think giving the body to the peasants was a good idea, but that is from my outside point of view. Riombarans understandably, must have a lot of malice towards Marc and went overboard taking out their anger, by giving the body to the peasants. However, if one of our lords were to secede from Fronen I'm sure we would have the same sort of animosity towards that Duke.

Riombara had a hundred reasons to kill King Marc. He may be King to Irombro, but he is a traitor to Riombara. He was treated as a traitor.

Unsettling events in the south

Today, we have learned about the execution of king Marc of Irombriza after his capture by Riombaran forces. There have enven been reports that " they are refusing to deliver the body back to Irombrozia for proper burial. AND...his body was passed around to the peasant folks so they can do what they please". How much of all of this is true is unknown, but it is quite unsettling to see such cold-blooded murder of a royal. I, for one, am disgusted by the actions of Riombara, and this makes them look no better than Luz de Bia.

Luz de Bia Chronicles spews more propaganda

Today Sam of the LdBC is throwing around the word "liberated". If I recall correctly, when Riombara took one of Luz's regions it was "ripped" from Luz's hands. Yet now, when Luz de Bia takes a region it is "liberated". When Irombrozia retook Cagamir the Irombrozians called it liberation. Sam called it barbarism and brutality. What about one of Riombara's regions at the start of the war, Ardmore. The same word was used. Luz de Bia took the region and it was "liberated." This is nothing short of propaganda. Atleast we in Fronen split our paper into this The Face of Fronen and this Commentator. You see in reality Luz de bia is just as brutal as they call us. They work their peasants into the dirt. There was in fact, little for us to loot when Fronen's Lightning invaded deep into Luzian territory.

Here is Luz's propaganda. We've estabglished their newspaper propaganda, but there is more. Luz de Bia hosts many villages along its borders. These are beautiful modern towns with large flags and the Luzian anthem playing. The problem is, when East Coast Alliance troops entered the border villages we found them populated only by a few caretakers. Generally there are between 5 and 15 depending on the village. These "Propaganda Villages" are used to entice Riombarans, Irombrozians, and Enweileans who border Luz to immigrate there. Then once the peasants move into Luz they are taken into custody by Luz de Bian troops and sent to toil away in field in deeper regions like Epinotke and Brovyl. The villages there are in squalid conditions. Most of the food and money made by the peasants is sent to the Luz de Bian government. Their high taxes leave the peasants in a state of poverty. Many peasants I've talked to (those healthy enough to speak that is) say the Luzian peasant families give so much tax to the government they haven't even enough food for themselves. As one might expect, Fronen's Dragon knights (my cavalry unit) gave whatever extra food we could spare to the poor Luzian citizens.

We also found a book: The "Official LDB handbook on peasants." Page 26 of this book says in quote

"The Luzian tax should be collected once per week.
All goods taken are to be sent to military headquarters at the nearest city.
All gold will be used to find the military. All food will be used for the vast daily banquets in the halls of the nobles.
All merchandise made by artisans shall be sold at the highest price to the Enweilean peasants.
All Luzian region lords are required to take as follows from the peasants in taxes:
-90% of all food grown
-95% of all gold coins owned by the peasant household
-Half the articles of clothing owned by the household.
(If the household in question has only one set of clothes they should be seized and the peasant is to be given an adequately sized burlap sack to wear.
If the peasant has no clothes, only burlap sacks they are to be whipped once for each article of clothing they do not own.
The clothes are burnt by the mobile forces to keep the army from having to collect firewood.
The peasants must be taught the importance of this.)
-10 piles of firewood per household. This will be used to heat the nobles' manors.
-All salt owned by the Luzian peasants is to be confiscated. This will be used to preserve the mobile army's food.
Furthermore, Any peasant who acts with hostility towards the tax collectors are to be hanged, impaled, or set aflame.
The method of execution can be decided by the noble or tax collector who was physically or verbally assaulted.
By these means the Luz de Bian nobles can preserve order and fund our military efforts against our enemies.
Hail Luz de Bia."

Now looking at this. Are the peasants truly being liberated? The reason Luz de Bia was so happy to receive Mio Dupaki was not because they cared about the peasants, but because the supplies of food, gold, salt, wood, and clothing was running low in occupied Grehk. Had the East Coast Alliance stayed in Grehk a little longer perhaps the Luz de Bian nobles would feel a bit of the starvation their peasants have to deal with year round.

After speaking to Luz' peasants and reading their own handbook I urge all of you not ot listen to Sam and his propaganda. I also think all nations should join together and liberate Luz's peasants from this state of deprivation.

On the second battle of Grehk

While none can deny the fact that Grehk was a military defeat for the East Coast Alliance, it really needs to be taken in context and not overblown like the Luz de Bia Chronicles would probably like to. The allied effort has had a major string of victories in the past few weeks. Luz de Bia's military has been significantly weakened. The walls around their capital have been reduced to a mere mote and bailly. Even that is significantly damaged. Luz de Bia has lost all of the original Riombaran regions they conquered and have even lost two of the regions they owned at the start of the war.

Furthermore, the continents largest and wealthiest city Eno and its surrounding regions have seceded from Luz; the new realm the Kingdom of Alluran now acts with hostility towards its mother country. That loss coupled with the loss of Glongin and Mio Dupaki will surely reduce the amount of funds Luz will have to field its army. The only thing Luz now has on its side is Enweil. Enweilean troops could be a significant factor in this war, however as a whole Luz de Bia's enemies are far stronger militarily that Luz de Bia and its ally. Also, Luz de Bia is fighting a two front war which will make things even more difficult for them.

The reclamation of their capital was definitely a victory for Luz, but its really only one step forward for them following perhaps a hundred steps back.

Does he ever learn?

Sam of the Luz de Bia Chronicles continues to prove his idiocy to the world. He talks about how Riombara "ripped" Mio Dupaki from Luz de Bia. It is not unlike how Luz "ripped" Ardmore and other regions from Riombara. Sam misses the point. Take a look at the bigger picture. The new region is doing well. It cuts off Luz's capital from the rest of the realm. Which actually brings me to another point. The Luz de Bians clearly have no knowledge of strategy. Most of their nobles are sitting in their capital not recruiting. East Coast Alliance forces are occupying the city. Any troops they recruit will only be slaughtered. They logically should retreat to Jidington or some other place, move the capital there and begin recruitment. That way they could atleast fight back. No, Luz chooses instead to laze around their capital and wait for it to be conquered. Incredible! Furthermore, as I've just been told. "Luz is reduced to having access only to the recruitment centers in Grekh, unless they move the capital. And moving the capital has been Riombara's aim all along."

At the same time Fronen's Lightning (myself included in that group) continues to steal gold from the Luz de Bian coffers in Luz's other regions. Luz de bia is powerless right now. It is in their best interests to surrender and focus on retaking the lands in the Kingdom of Alluran. They need to stop fighting a war they cannot win and focus on one they can. Or perhaps hubris shall be their undoing? We shall see.

I think it is also worth noting that the LdBC doesn't really know how to report. their paper is a pathetic propaganda machine. The Face of Fronen gives an In-depth Report on the secession of a Luz de Bian city. Luz de Bia's own paper merely says the man who seceded is a hateful snake. The Face of Fronen informs the world of a situation in a foreign realm before it happens. Luz doesn't even report after it happens. All the LdBC does is repeat "Fronen is a land of evil rapists, Riombara is full of barbaric sadists, Distorted is a snake" etc. There is no actual news. I suggest Luz de Bia surrender to the East Coast Alliance and its paper surrender to The Face of Fronen and The Free South Times as soon as possible. Luz de Bia ccan't win and neither can the Luz de Bia Chronicles.

DUEL

Sam (Knight of Bym) meets his challenger Alexius, Count of Trottie for the agreed duel till first blood. Alexius has decided to use the 'aggressive' strategy while Sam has choosen the 'trick moves' strategy, giving Alexius the advantage. After a series of blows, Alexius draws blood and wins the duel.

In Grehk I challeneged Sam, "editor" (using the term quite loosely) of the Luz de Bia Chronicles. As you can see I won the duel. Whatever honor Fronen may have lost has been restored.

Prominent Fronenian Speaks Out

"Luz de Bia bestows the title of General to Yanzi, sister to the murdered Wincy" ~ Quote from Luz de Bia Chronicles

What in the Great Dragon's name are they talking about? Lady Wincy was caught knowing the consequences of her actions. And I made sure that the decision was supported by the realm. The majority said yes and I performed the action.

And after reading the article from Luz de Bia, I have no fear of being tortured or assualted by any noble of LdB. I know what I have done and am ready for whatever consequences I must take.

"In the name of the Great Dragon, I say bring it on!!!"

Written by Enzeru Bakos, Grand Justiciar of Fronen, Duke of Mhed, leader of Fronen's bureucratic corps, and Steward of the Great Dragon on December 1

What?

"And if i was you i wouldnt say anything until you can fight on your own and not with allies."

LdBC editor Sam Malone has just stated that Fronen can't do anything witout its allies. To that I ask the following question: Have you been under a rock the past years Sam? Fronen defeated Avalon single handedly. In fact they had some help from Enweilean forces. Perhaps even Luz de Bia sent a few regiments. My memory is a little foggy there, perhaps a fellow Fronen noble can verify that. Either way Sam I cannot believe you would be so foolish as to say Fronen cannot win a war without allies. We've done it! Granted the ally was the pathetic little nation of Avalon but still it was a victory of a scale Luz de Bia cannot achieve, atleast not when they fall into every obvious Riombaran trap.

Written by Alexius DeSyrr on November 25

Speaking too Soon

It seems to me that the Luz de Bia Chronicles continually speaks too soon. this is the second time their paper has bragged about Luz's military success only to find they'd fallen into a trap. How can we forget? Less than a month ago the LdBC spoke of how the Luzian army was withing striking distance of Riombara's capital Athol Margos and their largest city Rines? Shortly after that Luz de Bia discovered the hard way that they were led intentionally into Avengmil. They fell into a trap. Riombaran forces cut Luz forces off from their capital and Riombara won a monumental victory against Luz.

Now just like the previous trap situation the LdBC has spoken too soon again. They've accused Riombara of cowardice, saying they cannot do anything without Fronen. Now today Riombara has proved foolish editor Sam wrong again. They have invaded and are now occupying Luz's capital city Grehk. This was done without the help of Fronen or the Republic of Fwuvoghor. I think Luz needs to give Riombara credit. They are clever resourceful people and are experts at military strategy. Furthermore I think if Luz wants to retain its honor they should protest against editor Sam Malone. His pathetic articles and misinformation are tarnishing their reputation.

And once more

"'we will only be involved in clearing out milita in Ardmore'...Yeah...Ardmore....Got a little bit lost there dint you?"

I don't believe Fronen ever made a statement like that. I dont know why we would only protect one of Riombara's regions and not the rest of them. Perhaps you should get your own facts strais Sam? And regardless of whatever treaty was signed it was you in Luz de Bia who decided to go to war over the broken treaty. You made the declaration, you chose to sacrifice the lives of your people to take over Riombaran land. Speaking of which, in that treaty didn't you only claim Cagamir and Bolkenia? Got a bit lost there didn't you?

Furthermore, if you don't like treaty-breakers why ally yourself with Avalon? In fact let me turn my attention to them. Lets look at their military power. Its what 28,000 CS right now? now weren't theey supposed to have less than 25,000 CS until atleast November 20? Is this not the fourth time they've went over the limit. This is the fourth time Avalon has broken the Avalon and Fronen Peace Treaty. I suppose you can't except an Avalonian to be honest now can you.

Lastly let me mention this Sam; The Fronen Commentator is a place for opinions and criticisms. Facts may be mentioned but it is not nescessary that everything here be written from a neutral point of view. The Face of Fronen is "All facts all the time," while the Commentator protects Fronen's honor from your verbal attacks and provides a place for Fronen nobles to give their opinions. The problem with each realm having one newspaper like Luz de Bia Chronicles is that you get liars claiming things are fact when they are really propaganda. By contrast we in Fronen split for our readers fact and opinion, news and propaganda, neutrality and bias. If you Sam would like to talk about truth, perhaps you could make another newspaper that doesn't have your incredibly bias and exaggerations included?

A response to the Luz de Bia Chronicles

Both the Luz de Bian editor of the Luz de Bian Chronicles and the Avalonian editor of the Luz de Bian Chronicles have made attacks on Fronen. I think it is our duty as the nobles of Fronen to respond to their verbal assaults just as we respond their physical assaults.

Lets begin with Sam, the Luz De Bian. He says Fronen is late for everything. We were late to the war. You know I think we were too busy winning the war against Avalon to deal with them. I don't know what the Luz de Bians think, but I say it is better to join a war late and win than to be the first to declare war and lose. We can all see now Luz de Bia is losing. I truly hope Avalon and Luz de Bia learn their lessons. It's that attacking neighboring realms who are smarter, better, and have more allies than you is a sure fire way to lose a war. So yes Fronen is late but Fronen wins, both in reality and soon we will win the newspaper war.

Also said by Sam is his usual claim that Fronen rapes small children. I must agree with Lord Hiereshmont that its all a pack of lies. Fronen has treated all the Riombaran peasants admirably. We do take gold from the Luz de Bian peasants. I myself took in a good deal of gold from Eno. We don't rape or needlessly kill though. Let's not forget it was Luz de Bia that declared war on Riombara, Fronen's ally. Anything that happens to Luz de Bia is a direct consequence of their own warmongering.

Lets now turn our attention to the Avalonian ruler Grim-Reaper. He calls my fellow editors and I "mentally disabled". To that I ask him this, when has Fronen ever shown any signs of luncacy? Grim-Reaper wasn't it you who declared war on Fronen? Wasn't it you who subsequently lost the war due to horrible military tactics? If I recall we won quite a few battles against your pitiful little country with a smaller force than you fielded. You see Avalonians have a naturally smaller cranial capacity in comparison to Fronen's people. I believe this may be a genetic defect that affects the Avalonian people. Regardless, I don't believe it is Grim-Reapers place to insult Fronen. Avalon only exists because of Fronen's mercy. In the Avalon and Fronen Peace Treaty we in Fronen showed you Grim-Reaper and your people quite a bit of mercy. I would encourage Avalon to know its place.

On another note The Fronen Commentator would like to thank the editors of The Free South Times for their gracious welcome to the newspaper world.

Luz de Bia Chronicles Inept?

To kick start the comments I'd like to make a statement about Luz de Bia's paper. I think it is absurd that one of their two editors, thats half their writing team is not even Luz de Bian. Grim-Reaper of Avalon writes all the LdBC's articles concerning international affairs. Two questions pop into my head when I think about this. First, why does Luz de Bia not use Luz de Bian writers? Is there a lack of literacy there? Do they think they are incompetant? Perhaps they should. My time in Luz de Bia has brought me to the conclusion that the Luz de Bian nobles are honorable people. Sadly, their newspaper constantly slanders Fronen's name, and has a consistantly poor quality of journalism. Why they need a foreign writer is a major question editor Sam of the LdBC needs to consider.

Secondly, of all the foreign writers you could choose, why pick an Avalonian? Avalon has broken treaties and has been an aggressor against peaceful Fronen. The Avalonians are so pitifully lacking in intelligence that they lost a war and two of their regions to an enemy(thats Fronen) who at the start of the war had a far weaker military. This was a war they started. Now why Sam and everyone in Luz de Bia would you choose people like that to help write your articles. Well then again Luz de Bia did start a war against a weaker enemy. Actually, they are now losing that war just as Avalon did. Perhaps the phrase "birds of a feather flock(or in this case write) together" rings true.
