I set up something similar to this before. Problem is our semantic data is still not getting updated from external data, so things like new religions, region owenership changed etc are not updated unless someone edits the appropriate page. I suppose that since the lists we are replacing need manual editing anyway this might not be a problem. --Masdus 00:46, 18 February 2011 (CET)

Semantic data should be refreshing from the external feed on a regular basis. I found an admin option that refreshes the database. I have to start it manually, but once I start it, it runs in the background during regular wiki access. This means that, hopefully, the semantic data should be more more than 2 days old at any time. I'm hoping that once Tom gets a chance to look at some things, he may be able to start the update as a cron job. One remaining problem, though, is the wiki cache: queries are not re-run when you visit a page, they are simply read from the cache. This means that if you look at a page with a query, then go change the data on another page, then go back and reload the query page, the results will not reflect the change you made until the cache is invalidated. You can do it manually by adding "?action=purge" to the page URL and reloading.
