Emperor Aldo's Policies
Emperor Aldo Unti ratified the Treaty of Mhed, granting Fronen the lands of Trottie, Tepmona, Bisana, and Ieara. This act is acknowledged as the beginning of the Age of Reason. At this time, Melhed stretched from Hopidrii to Bil Havil, forming the Heartland. Relations between Fronen, weakened, and Melhed improved as an alliance was formed. Aldo made a deal with Prime Minister Predbjørn II Tyreslagter the Fleeting of Fronen for Bisana to be loaned to Melhed until Agyr can feed itself.
Atomization of the government branches was first attempted. The Grand Justicar, Lord High Bankercrat, and Grand General were told not to report directly to the Emperor, but to instead use their own initiative.
Relations between King Vagabond Cheung the Honourable, of Old Grehk, and Melhed improved greatly. Donald the Curt was elected Prime Minister of Fronen and begins to question the Bisana Agreement. Relations become strained. Kokomaro Rogala, King of Rock, arrived in Melhed. Region lords become elected for the first time in Melhed's history.
Northern Politics Formalize
Northern Colony Treaty signed and the Monarchy of Valentia founded, based in Unger and led by King Kokomaro, and the Monarchy of Thalmarkin, based in Nuzanki and led by King Lemon Tree Van Eylen the Brief. King Lemon Tree stepped down and King Julma Jaune Cosula the Passionate rose to the throne.
On the recommendation of King Vagabond, talks began about the rogue city of Mhed's fate. Mhed was the first capital of Melhed, a city of extreme historical value as Melhed's ancient capital. During the talks, Prime Minister Donald declared the city the property of Fronen through force of arms and demanded Bisana to feed the new city. After this, the alliance between Fronen and Melhed ended. Emperor Aldo bowed to the Fronenite demands in the face of overwhelming military strength.
Four Kingdoms Treaty signed between Melhed, Old Grehk, Thalmarkin, and Valentia. Pledging to always stand back to back against the trials of the world, the four unite as brothers. As a result, Fronen ceases hostile actions towards Melhed.
Reformation
Peaceful expansion into the frontier occurred as Lastfell, Rafferty, Kannoktet, and Lin Helon are conquered. The Reformation transforms Melhed from Empire to Republic in practice and name. Aldo steps down as Emperor and takes the title Prime Minister over the newly created Senate. First official mention of the Old Gods.
