History
Mhed began as a fishing village founded by pioneers of the New World. The Republic of Melhed entered the village and made it their capital city. Under Melhed, two districts and part of a third were built. Unfortunately an undead invasion ruined the city and made it into a lawless, rogue state. The Republic of Fronen expanded northward and tookt he city after the invasion, building it up to it's great size that exists now.
Districts
The city of Mhed is a bustling metropolis on the northern border of the Republic of Fronen. The city is divided into 5 major districts.
Recruitable Soldiers
Mhedian Falxmen
The Mhedian Falxmen wield the falx and are generally rather rougher than other types of soldiers. Recruits generally come from young to middle aged male residents of the small farms right on the outskirts of the city, or from Port District Sailors. Mhedian Falxmen wear either leather or scale mail armor and have middling defensive skill (55), their offensive skill though is superb (75). The Falxmen are dangerous in melee combat especially after a charge.
Dragon's Flame
Dragon's Flame is the name of a unit of Mhedian archers. They wield longbows, and usually wear chain mail. The Dragon's Flame are usually recruited from the most devout Dragon worshipers. The Draconic temple blesses these men and sometimes helps fund them. Dragon's Flame archers have high offensive (70) and defensive (75) skills and can shoot over a long range (4). The Dragon's Flame can be found protecting the city walls of Mhed.
Mhedian Riders
The Mhedian Riders are a cavalry unit trained on the small plain before the Northern Rampart district walls. Their recruits generally come from those who can afford horses, either in Government Square or the Financial District. The Mhedian Riders have fair skills in both offense and defense (both 55), but like most cavalry units are valued more for their speed and charges than anything else. Most of the horses here are Friesian stallions.
