Origin
Evangeline was the second-born child of the deVries, minutes older than her younger twin sister Geraldine.
When she was six summers old, her family's connections to the late Lady Haruka were revealed. She and her sisters were left with a minor noble in Mimer. After her parents were assassinated, the noble turned her and Geraldine loose on the streets and sold her older sister, Jaz, to a lord on the East Continent.
Evangeline and Geraldine lived with other orphans on the streets of the South Ward of Mimer. During a storm, she and her sister were separated, never to see each other again. Shortly after, she was taken in by Jeronia Ester, the childless widow of a knight killed in the battle of Shomrak.
Jeronia raised Evangeline as her own in the religion of Sanguis Astroism. She remembered nothing of her childhood with the deVries except the loose notion that she came from the Nifel Peninsula.
On her 17th name day, through the Starlight of Maddening, Auspicious, and Austere, she received a vision that she was a descendant of the holy ForÞwíf Heofonþrym, the lord and savior of Thulsoma, Lady Haruka. That day, she took her name and began her career as a warrior, pledging myself to learn more about her House's origins in the Stormlands of Northnastrond.
Appearance and Character
Like all the daughters of House Haruka, Evangeline is of slight stature and has flaming red hair and dark blue eyes. She hates traveling by sea.
As a child, her stubborn protection of other orphans often got her into trouble. Her childhood on the streets gave her a soft-spot for the downtrodden, which she has carrier with her in her career as a noble. She aspires to have a career in diplomacy, restoring Astrum to its old borders and beyond.
She is an ardent follower of Sanguis Astroism.

Early Career
The Prince of Strife's Quashed Rebellion
When Evangeline first began her career as a noble in Astrum, she served as a Dame of Aegir. However, days after her appointment, Argos Moonsun, Duke of Morek and the Prince of Strife foretold by Vasilif Veseryan Velaryon, was caught laundering copious amounts of gold through various guilds. Argos refused to pay the required taxes of the realm and seceded, taking the Duchy of Morek with him as he temporarily joined the realm of Westgard.
Loyal to Astrum, Evangeline left her estate in Aegir and took up a new one in Muspel. When Argos's annexation was rejected by Queen Flavia Schwarzherzig of Westgard, Argos turned instead to offer Morek as an Archduchy vassal to Autarch Lucius Navaar of Tol Goldora, who also rejected the proposal.
Shortly after, Vasilif Veseryan and Queen Flavia negotiated a return of the Duchy of Morek. Argos promptly retaliated by selling all of the grain in Aegir, burning the infrastructure to the ground, and destroying more than 4000 gold in bonds belonging to the Priestess Terra Pryde. Xaphen Poe, Hammer of the Austere, declared Argos guilty of treason of the highest order, named him an enemy of Astrum, and banished him from the realm. Argos was since known as the Prince of Regret.
