Fear of Avamar

As it was recently proved the name of "Avamar" brings a disproportional fear to most rulers of the continent. The reasons for this behavior are unclear, although it is suspected that the fact that Avamar is ruled jointly by all nobles with equal rights and involvement on every decision, and not by a powerful monarch or permament council, brings uneasiness to the established authoritative regimes of the world. Avamar can indeed constitute a "bad" influence to those nobles that live under oppressive rules and are not allwed to critisize, or argue the decisions of the government, or even they don't have access to their own realm's information.

It is impressive that although Avamar and Kalmar are aware of the movement of Sirion's army to Oligarch in order to join Old Rancagua in Kazakh and attack together the Islands, the simple Sirionite noble is not aware of this well known fact!

So why all these fears? After a thorough research I conducted, I will try to address some common perceptions and views around the issue, apart from those pressented in the discussion above. Feel free to add below everything else you have heard.

1. Old Avamar was created after a rebellion in West Sirion That's a myth. The only rebellion that took place according to ancient archives is one supported by Sirion with participants all those ousted from their offices through democratic elections.

2. Old Avamar banned all opposition members to the new order Myth. The only nobles banned were some members of the Old Council and the rest after their failed rebellion and after the destruction of military infrastructure

3. Old Avamarians rules Avamar selective It is true that there are many old Avamarians in Avamar selective. But as old Avamar is now dead, former nobles from there joined new realms. If you count former Avamarians, Oligarchians and Rancaguans in Perdan or in other realm you will see that their percentage is more or less the same like in Avamar Selective. However as former Avamarians stayed united after the fall of their realm, it is more likely to find them in large groups than individually. Don't forget that Old Rancagua has nobles originally from other realms in important positions.

4. Avamar is behind every rebellion in every realm in the continent. There is nothing to indicate such a fact. If this was true then the Avamarians should be so many that the Continent would be full of them and their supporters. It is very likely though that realms with internal unrest preffered to put the blame on secret organizations and foreign enemies than to uncapable councils. According to my knowledge though, Avamarians were involved in two rebellions. Once they supported a rebel movement in Fontan who had attacked them and once in Old Rancagua under the guidance of an Oligarchian named Hireshmont who had managed to trick and manipulate them offering them a new home.

5. Black Hand still exists and rules Avamar while plotting to overthrow foreign governments It is vague if such organization even existed after the change of West Sirion to Avamar. Rumors are saying though that some rogue individuals used this name to attract followers and incite rebellions in all continents. It is said that intervention from the Great God Tom was needed to clear the continents from their presence as they had assigned black magic to achieve their objectives. Old Avamarians interviewed, insist that Black Hand was the code name of the social movement that aimed to overrun West Sirion and nothing more.

6. Avamar and Avamarians are "evil" This depends on the way you define the word "evil". Because as the history is written by the victorious, there is not much saying to Oligarchians, Eleadorans, Rancaguans to describe how "evil" Old Rancagua, Fontan and Sirion, which destroyed their realms, were.

7. Avamar Selective is the abomination of a realm This again depends on how you approach the meaning of the word "abomination". Avamar Selective is a now well run realm, created after a disastrous secession that a mad Duke did. There are no internal conflicts, there are no cliams on regions of other realms, there are no desires for expansion, and peace is the only request of this tiny and weak realm. However its powerful neighbor, Old Rancagua, doesn't even offers terms for peace and only wants to destroy the realm. I am certain that there are many Avamarians that consider Old Rancagua an "abomination" of a realm, with its only purpose to destroy and ruin what others are trying to build.

8. The Banner of Avamar Selective indicates the influence of the Black Hand Organization This is an absolute lie in an attempt to bring more realms in a war that Old Rancagua alone is unable to win. More details can be found HERE
