Second Duchy of Ordenstaat

The city of Twainville was brought under the flag of Ordenstaat on the 19th of January 2009. It's first Duke came to power by using the will of the people, literally overrunning the local rogue government under a mass of 1370 armed commoners. Under that threat the rogue lord had no choice but to submit or die. Wisely, he surrendered. Currently he is being held in the local prisons in Twainville, under heavy guard and close watch. His fate has yet to be decided, though given his surrendering it is like he will be released in due course.

Since the city started flying the Ordenstaat banner, industry has been quick to pick up, raising from the non-existant level it had fallen to up to plodding levels in a matter of days, thanks to the work and dedication of Lady Ashlyn Twinblade, Second Knight of Twainville. To mark the first week of the city's being held, two recruitment centers have been constructed, both for archers. One will likely end up making a decent center for takeovers, while the other will eventually end up serving the city's defense.

Also, to be held on a monthly basis, starting July 23rd, is the Festival of the Rising Sun, commemorating the city's induction to Ordenstaat.

On another note, Duke Zanaras saw to the construction of a temple of the Order of Saint Iestyn, as well as a smaller traveler's shrine in the city's interior. There are future expansions planned for the temple so the Duke can oversee the training of new priests to support the faith.

Celebrations

Currently the city only has one holiday it celebrates, the "Festival of the Rising Sun", which commemorates Ordenstaat's taking of the city. This holiday is to be celebrated monthly on the 23rd. It may be sometimes considered a regular holiday, while other days it will be a large celebration, depending on whether the Duke can afford it.
