Duelling is illegal. If you engage in any kind of dueling apart from the one till first blood expect to be fined 100gp. Second offence will result with banning from the realm. We cannot afford to have wounded troop leaders!
Taselak Laughs as Karibash’s head grows bigger
2 February 2007 (Taselak) by cronos
It seems to those few readers of the Toren Herald (myself included, mostly for comedic value) that the editor Karibash’s gloating and incredibly large ego just don’t seem to subside! Unfortunately, it has even come to the point where he does not know what he is talking about anymore and doesn’t care as long as he gets the see ‘Karibash the great’ in an article somewhere. Funnily enough this is a self given title as he has no supporters or past achievements to actually justify this title... some would actually say the opposite about him!

As regards to his statement of Taselak fleeing from the ‘mighty’ Toren army, this reader laughed so hard that my face changed colour and I almost passed out! ...and who says war can’t be fun?!

Taselak has indeed fallen back from the further advance into Toren’s lands, but much to Karibash the Laughable’s disappointment, it was to deal with the slightly mightier 30k CS Ikalak army (you know, the one that will crush Toren in about a week if Taselak falls) that is currently attacking us in the south. In fact the only reason we are able to do this is because of the LACK of might in the Toren army. It should, of course, be known that I do not blame the Nobles of Toren for this but in fact their leadership, but that’s a story for another time!

Finally, about your challenge or ‘threat’ to one of my nobles. I would ask her NOT to accept such a challenge unless it is from a far worthier opponent. I would not allow anyone to waste their skills on such a fool as ‘Karibash the Laughable’, so go back to hiding in your stronghold thinking of CRAZY theories about your superiority.

Hey look I can make up titles too!

Signed,

Cronos, the magnificently, fantastic, legendary, fearless, merciful, caring, pleasant smelling, far better than Karibash, King of Taselak.

Editorial: New Format
1 February 2007 (Taselak) by Lynsey Habap
Having seen and admired the formatting of the Volcanic Hot Newsletter, I have unilaterally changed the format of our paper. I think this format is both more pleasing to the eye and easier to read. We have to make it easier to read, as soldiers in the field are not always the most literate of souls.
The Wit of the Toren Herald
1 February 2007 (Taselak) by Lynsey Habap
Of late, the Toren Herald has been revived. Unfortunately, the recent articles are very short. Generally, they simply state "The Taselak Tribune is full of lies!" This seems to us not particularly insightful. Of course, experience with Toren had already lowered our expectations a great deal, so we did not feel too disappointed. Perhaps in the future, they may use their newspaper to report on some events rather than to simply shout "Lies, lies, lies!" One wonders if the new editor is stomping his feet when he writes....
