April Toren Rebellion:

A replacement for the Pub-Mobile?
31 August 2007 (Ibyp) by Lynsey Habap
Word reached the army in the field today that a replacement for the much-loved Pub-Mobile has been launched. Count Lord of Unlib, who created the Pub-Mobile, spent a great deal of time on his new estate, crafting a new morale-booster.
In his County Estate, Lord finishes the last few details on a small wagon, similar to the Pub-Mobile. He sends a messenger out for Tommy, and once Tommy returns with the messenger, he presents the small wagon "Tommy, you now have the Mini-Bar-Mobile. May your men use it well, and serve as an inspiration to all"
Capital moved!
29 August 2007 (Gwohadda) by Lynsey Habap
In an expected strategic move, Queen Mischa moved the capital of Taselak from Taselak City to Sandalak. This is the third national capital to reside in that city in the past year and the people express their fervent desire that it be the last for some time. The city fairly swarms with new recruits, eager to join in the fight against the sagging realms of Ikalak and Toren.
Turin banned from Taselak
28 August 2007 (Moeth) by Lynsey Habap
Turin, a former Ikalakan and recent arrival on the island (in May), was investigated for suspicious activity by the Arch Priest of Taselak. The investigation bore the most foul tasting fruit:

From this day on, Turin, ex-knight of Belus is declared an enemy of the state. Anyone able to bring him in after his ban has gone into effect will receive an award of 50 gold, on top of the criminal's ear, as costomary.

Upon capture he will be executed publicly, by the hands of my faithfull torturer Igor. Any infiltrators are also free to use him as a practice target, without any punishments.

Evidence:

Investigating Turin (Knight of Belus), you find out interesting facts:

  • He has about 10 gold coins and 70 bonds.
  • The morale of his unit is about 100 %.
  • His units equipment has about 30 % damage.
  • His unit has a combat strength of about 140 points.
  • Your agents were able to follow him to a conspirational meeting - it appears he is conspiring against you!
Homus Cornelius
Arch Priest of Taselak

Turin sent a message to the entire realm, attempting to make it appear that he was not alone in his rebellious thoughts, "To my brothers and sisters, be careful, there may be a mole at work in our organization. Good luck to you. I take my leave." He also openly lamented, "If I am caught, my only regret will be that I have but one life to give for my country. Moonglum is the true traitor here."

It is indeed unfortunate that the traitor has but one life to give, for it would have provided an opportunity for Turin to be hanged twice - once in Taselak City and once in Sandalak.

Tides shift mightily
16 August 2007 (Taselak) by Lynsey Habap
Due to intense dissatisfaction with Ikalak, Duke Moonglum II took the Duchy of Sandalak and seceded from that realm, joining Taselak. This has created supreme confusion on the Island and caused a brief respite from combat for the war-weary. This appears to throw the balance of power squarely into the hands of Taselak, which had been staving off defeat for the last 10 months. It is unclear how quickly Taselak will be able to consolidate it's position or even control so many of its former regions.
