The Discussion List is a dark abyss full of power gamers, admin bashers and general malcontents. It should not be the first and only place for a feature request to be made. The wiki is much better equipped for engaging in civil and dignified discussions with others and unlike the discussion list, the wiki is a place where ''anyone'' can come and make a proposal with relative ease.

Fair enough, you have to sign up for both the wiki and the discussion list, but there is a vast difference between receiving a single confirmation e-mail and enduring a vast torrent of stuff from the BM circus all to make a single feature request. We should be entitled to make feature requests on the wiki as well as/instead of the discussion list.--[[User:Revan|Revan]] 22:41, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Community Manager Page

It needs more work, but the main concept is basically done. I'll probably make a couple new pages for a few things so it isn't so big. --Vita Family 18:44, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

What about the realm pages religion pages, newspapers, miscellaneous, ect..?--Athins 03:10, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, those are all part of the items currently being discussed. Feel free to post a list of links to pages, categories, etc, you think should be integrated somehow into the Community Portal. (They wouldn't be copied over or moved to the portal, just linked in a somehow orderly fashion, to better direct people to the existing resources that are available.) --Indirik (talk), Editor (talk) 03:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I moved them to Miscellaneous. At some point, I intend to sort that page again and get it linked to. --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor (Talk), Community Manager (Talk) 19:14, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I think the Realm, Religion, and Family pages should be on the main page atleast, maybe newspapers as well (though they seem to be kinda dead now except for a few). The rest are fine under miscellaneous. --Athins 21:38, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean by "main page"? Do you mean the Main Page or the front page of the Community Portal? --Indirik (talk), Editor (talk) 21:46, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Whichever makes more sense. Realm pages IMO seem essential to the RP of the game, and religion and family pages can also be quite essential. --Athins 23:04, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Portal Overhaul

This page is currently being worked on as part of a project to overhaul the Community Portal. Anything you see on this page may or may not end up in the final version. If you would like to make any suggestions, feel free to leave them here on the talk page. No guarantees that we'll use any of them, but all feedback is appreciated.

I am going to try unprotecting this talk page. With the requirement to have e-mail confirmation before you can edit, I'm hoping that will be enough to protect us against spambots. --Indirik (talk), Editor (talk) 01:26, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
