The Order of the Hawk is an island-wide knightly order (read: guild) of the Far East. Every realm on the island has agreed to the accords of this order.
Purpose
The Order serves two functions. First, the Order will work to eliminate the worst excesses of war. Nobles sworn to the Order will use all power at their disposal, up to and including full scale war, to prevent rape, mass murder and the destruction of crops or food production. Second, the Order will mobilise against continent-wide threats. In the event of a war involving the Order, a Paladin Commander will either be chosen from the realm that suffered the worst depredations, or by a vote, with each member realm receiving one vote for each Council member and each duchy.
