Corwyn Ni'Tessine is the founder of the Ni'Tessine noble family, though it came at great personal cost: the life of his father Lucas.

Soon after becoming a noble he became a student of mentor Sir Meristenzio Peristaltico, and shortly afterward swore an oath of fealty to Sir Vlaed Aldarion, the Count of Elmbar. Corwyn now runs an estate on the northern edge of Elmbar, as close as possible to the forest of Limbar.

Merely four days after his family earned a title Corwyn found himself defending his liege's region. It was a short one-sided battle, if it can be called that, with Corwyn's archers versus a single monster. No losses were suffered.

Less than a week after that Corwyn found himself engaged in his first major battle. The Sirion forces caught the army of Westmoor in a pincer movement, and Westmoor suffered huge losses. None of Corwyn's troops died, once again.

However, in his very next battle Corwyn lost some of his men for the first time. Along with the rest of the Army of Sirion, his forces were dug into makeshift fortifications defending the region of Tabost when the combined forces of Fontan and Westmoor attacked their position. Though Sirion was victorious, it was a slaughter-fest. Five of Corywn's men perished that die, and four more were lightly wounded. The Army of Sirion itself was almost in disarray.

There was hardly a moment to rest. In less than 12 hours, the armies rallied and went at it again. It was truly a feast for crows. Once again it was a very close fight, with Sirion remaining victorious. This time Corwyn's unit fared much better, and did not lose a single elf. In addition, Corwyn's two healers were able to heal the four wounded soldiers, strengthening the unit further.

It was in an ensuing engagement, far to the North against the Sultanate of Asena curs, that Corwyn was first forced to retreat from the field of battle. The Sirion forces were victorious in that battle, but for Corwyn who had till then never been forced to retreat, the victory tasted bittersweet.

In what was to be almost the very next battle, Corwyn truly tasted defeat for the first time. He and his elven archers were in Sermbar, dug-in, versus an inferior invading force... and the Sirion army lost. Corywn's unit was wiped out, and Corwyn himself was captured. This was a battle that was incomprehensible to him. They had the advantage of superior combat strength, but also the advantage of defending and their archers were dug-in. He would read and re-read that battle report many times, trying to figure out what had gone wrong. Of course, being in prison, Corwyn had lots of time to ponder this...

Corwyn is doing his best to put on a brave face, take on a noble bearing, and make a name for himself (literally). The natural choice is of course to lend his forces to the war effort, and in that capacity he aims to achieve both honour and prestige.

He is now leading a force of archers in the Army of Sirion. The captain of Corwyn's troops is named Erkenbrand Rilacher.
