I will to Vlaed Aldarion, Count of Elmbar, be dutiful and loyal, and shun all which he shuns, according to the laws of Sirion and the order of the world. Nor will I ever with will or action, through word or deed, do anything which is unpleasing to him, on condition that he will hold to me as I shall deserve it, and that he will perform everything as it was in our agreement when I submitted myself to him and chose his will.

I become your liege man of life and limb and truth and earthly honors, bearing to you against all men that love, move or die, so help me by the heavenly hosts above.

"Hear ye, Hear ye! Corywn Ni'Tessine, whose family was recently granted a title of nobility for actions of bravery against a mighty beast, has just sworn an oath of fealty to Sir Vlaed Aldarion, the Count of Elmbar.

Knight Corwyn has pledged to Sir Vlaed that he will be dutiful and loyal, and to shun all which he shuns. That he shall be Sir Vlaed's liegeman of life and limb and truth and earthly honors, bearing to him against all men that conspire or threaten, so help him by the heavenly hosts above.
