In recent battles in Falens, many young nobles have stepped up and show their leadership abilities. One of reporters recorded the following:
- As the sun came closer and closer to the horizon, Sennianus gathered his men for the stand in Falens. Already, the grass plains at the foot of the mountains were drenched in blood from the morning battle, but that had only been an appetizer for the main course. The vanguard of the Toren army was intercepted before they could be joined by their companions, and swiftly defeated. One of Taselaks warriors, a young heroine named Tala, fell in the thick of battle, and her brethren were eager to take revenge. The battle-weary soldiers of Taselak would have to face fresh troops from the Toren Stronghold, but they were ready. Their swords still had the dried blood of their vanquished foes, their armor was still bloody, bruised and dirty from prolonged combat. Many warriors had fresh wounds... and in some cases, even a severed arm was not enough to force a Taselakian off the battlefield.
- The Woad Warriors stood in front of their commander, awaiting the traditional battle speech. It had lifted their courage this morning, but Sennianus knew he would have to fill their hearts with bloodlust for this fight, a fight which promised to be extraordinarily brutal. The Toren troops would want revenge for their humiliating loss, and the warriors of Taselak were poised to avenge Tala.
- Sennianus scraped his throat. "Warriors of Taselak... today, many lives will be lost, and many souls will travel to the afterlife! All you can do today is try to make sure that your life, your soul is not one of them! It is a sweet and seemly thing to die for one's country, but it is better yet to live and tell tales of glorious victory!"
- Sennianus paused for a second, as his men raised their swords and banged them on their shields. "Brave warriors, we will face the armies of Toren once more! We crushed them in battle this morning, a defeat they did not expect to suffer! They will fear us, for they know that they will soon follow their countrymen in death!"
- Again, the men cheered. Sennianus smiled. "Then again, you should not show the enemy any mercy, for he will not show you any himself. If you see your enemy, kill him, step over his corpse and kill his friends!"
- By now, some soldiers from other units had come to see what the noise was. A few must have figured that Sennianus had earned his moniker just and true. A half-naked barbarian, yelling at more half-naked barbarians. But they kept listening nonetheless.
- "Warriors of Taselak! The enemy outnumbers us, but that means little, only that each man will have to kill a few enemies more! So, draw your swords, point your spears at the enemy, string your bows, and prepare to fight for your country. Be prepared to DIE for your country! Many of you will not live to see the next sunrise, but the rest of us will raise our mugs in your honor, as we tell great tales of how the mighty Taselakians crushed the feeble warriors of Toren!"
- Suddenly, war drums sounded in the distance. All heads turned in the direction of the mountains, where the first enemy banners appeared. Sennianus faced them, spat on the ground and turned to his men.
- "Woad Warriors... WAR CRY!!!"
Fenrir, Paladin Primus of Toren, Count of Neralle, Marshal of the Tor's Retribution (Toren) was captured by Taselak forces during the battle. It was the second battle in Falens and all parties expect a third promptly.
