Warm winds blowing in from the coastlines of Supra and Aureus cool as they reach the Akesh mountains, resulting in heavy rainfall much of the year round. The result is the fens of Aestus, a wide expanse of scrub and marshland; a flat, featureless land of big skies and hard lives.
