Capashinia was a nation founded by Torin Capashin in eastern Atamara. It existed for only five days before collapsing in anarchy.
Secession
Torin Capashin, Duke of Tucha, declared his city and duchy independent on the 21st of February 2007. Three regions, Tucha, Picnu and Cori, broke away from the nation of Falasan in Atamara and formed their own independent state. Duke Torin stated that his intentions were to serve the people of his city by protecting them from ensuing inevitable conflicts between the nations of Falasan and Eston.
War. War seems to be inevitable for this realm [Falasan]. No matter how skilled our leaders are, war is in the future... When I was appointed Duke of Tucha, Cathrine made me swear that I would do everything to protect my people. Therefore I feel I have no other choice but to declare that Tucha is neutral in any and all upcoming conflicts. I will not have my people go through the pain that I have. I wish you all the best of luck, and hope that we can all continue to exist together without conflict.
– Torin Capashin
Downfall
Although Duke Torin quickly installed himself as Dictator of the new realm, the people of Tucha were deeply unhappy at his decision and almost immediately the people rebelled and laid siege against Duke Torin's 'royal' palace. It wasn't long before the people managed to overcome the handful of guards and take Torin himself as their captive. However, although at first having good intentions in removing the usurper, the leaders of the mob soon began squabbling and turned on themselves just as swiftly as they had turned on Duke Torin.
The whole of Capashinia soon fell into anarchy after that as rival factions began fighting for influence in Tucha. Even the arrival of Noble Mandul and his troops from a foreign continent could do nothing to stem the raging violence within Tucha, let alone control the insurrection sweeping through the entirety of Capashinia. Within just three days of his arrival, Mandul fled north for his life and no-one knows what fate befell Duke Torin who never left his city. Capashina was recognised as officially collapsing on the 26th of February 2007.
Legacy
Although Capashinia did not survive long as a formal entity, it's very creation at such a pivotal moment in Falasan history ensured that it's name would remain in the mind of Atamara for generations to come. Although in itself a great tragedy for Falasan, the simultaneous territorial losses to Eston and Tara in the same time period saw Falasan receive a triple blow as it fought to defend it's territory from aggressors.
