A young and naive noble, Illidan is the first son of Fungeiton. Born in Strombran, Atamara, he has high hopes of attaining the power he feels destined to control.

Childhood

However, upon hearing that a son of Fungeiton had been born several attempts were made on the child's life, but all were unsuccessful. Fungeiton believed the attacks were most likely due to disputed debts owed by the Raynor family to a local noble. This belief was verifyed when, at 6 years old, word spread that the rival and wealthy noble - afraid Fungeiton could use his son to gain control over his domain - had hired a band of mercenaries to assassinate Illidan and destroy his family's home.

Tragic Loss Of Family

Lucikly for Illidan, a spy gave of the imminent attack and Illidan was placed in an empty ale barrel destined for Corniel in the realm of Falasan. Meanwhile, Fungeiton stayed behind with his wife and their 8 guards to protect their fortified manor house. A battle ensued which at first was favouring the Raynor family. Of the 18 assassins sent, 5 were killed by arrow fire on approach to the manor house and 2 more were killed by stones thrown as they tried to scale the walls with a ladder during which time only 2 Raynor guards had succumb to arrow fire. Eventually, the walls were scaled and in the fierce hand-to-hand combat which followed, Fungeiton, his wife and the remaining 4 guards were killed.

A New Life In Falasan

Illidan however had escaped and some time later he successfully reached Corniel. Still being hunted by the forces of his father's rival, he was discovered wandering the streets and taken under the wing of a sympathetic local noble who continued Illidan’s education in the ways of combat until his coming of age at 17. This occured in May of the year 2006.

Since his arrival in Corniel, Illidan has shown great loyality to his adopted realm and hopes to earn his fame, fortune and most importantly, power, by banquishing the enemies of Falasan from Atamara. In order to acheive these, he has recruited a unit of fierce troops named the Children of Pheonix who will fight for Falasan against her enemies.

Escaping Falasan's Tyrannous Elite Ruling Class

During October 2006, Illidan found himself being frequently and publicly criticised by several of Falasan's elite "inner circle". Upon several occasions agents believed to be working under orders of these people exchanged blows with Illidan at several venues throughout the town of Tucha. As the intimidation and threats of imprisonment - of both the official and the 'unofficial' sorts - sent Illidan into hiding.

After spending a week laying low and visiting friends within Tucha's vicinity, Illidan snuck out of the city in the back of an empty wheat cart before setting out alone on his travels towards the lands of the Ash Sea Islands; this however required traversing the monster infested Inxi mountains. After the horse he purchased was eaten by monsters, Illidan was forced to traverse the mountains on foot. After an anxious but relatively trouble-free two weeks of slow but steady progress through the mountains, Illidan arrived in Ser'quea, capitol of the Ash Sea Islands.

A new life, far, far away

While in Ser'quea, Illidan heard from a sailor he met in a bar one evening about wild and mystical lands which the chap called 'Beluaterra'. Illidan, tired of spending his life fearful of reprisals soon persuaded himself that this strange land was where his future should lie.

So began Illidan's career as a hero fighting for the realm of Ashborn. During this time, Illidan has wandered far and wide about Beluaterra, seeking evil wherever it lurks. For a time, he settled in the east of the continent, fighting for the realm of Avalon. This eastern realm harboured both a great army among which Illidan hoped to battle the undead, but also a mysterious cult, the Order of the Druids. This ancient order's mere existence was hard to certify, despite rumours of their activities spreading far and wide.

After a month's searching, Illidan was approached by a mysterious stranger one evening who invited Illidan to join the order. Making an oath to the druids, Illidan started back on the long road west where he had been told evil would soon appear. Sure enough, after merely a month's time, undead forces started ravaging the countryside and they were soon followed by huge flying beasts of evil, called Daemons who could strip a land of all its food in a matter of hours.

Illidan was handed a castle and a generous amount of land by his sister, Strombrew who commanded the region of Ircymbar in Ashborn's south. Illidan quickly set about enlarging his estate into a small castle so he could guard the southern lands of Ircymbar against attacks from Monsters, Undead, Mountain Folk ...and worse. These forces of evil had caused Ircymbar to rebel in months past and now back under Ashborn control, some of the lesser trouble makers were rounded up by Illidan and made to pay their debt to Ashborn through military service. Forming the 'Eastern Macemen', the unit fights amongst the 1st Ashborn Republican army for the freedom of humanity from the forces of evil.

Return to the land of the Druids

Everything changed after the invasion of Daimons from the Netherworld. For many months, Illidan fought alongside his realm-mates of Ashborn and her allies. Ashborn's enemy, the realm of Sint, started serving the Daimons in return for their help in destroying Ashborn. Against such might, defeat was inevitable and eventually, even Illidan's land in Ircymbar fell to the forces of Sint.

Realising all was lost in this part of the continent, Illidan returned to Avalon to help protect the sacred lands of his religion from the Daimons. After many hard fought battles, it looked as if Avalon too would fall to the forces of the Netherworld. Through skilled diplomacy, Avalon's Chancellor was able to have the Daimon Lord spare the realm's one remaining duchy for a while.

This was enough time for Avalon to rebuild her strength and start regaining land lost to the Netherworld. Illidan, showing a strong sense of honour to his realm during this dire time, was rewarded with the region of Cori. A once mighty badlands region, the Netherworld invasion had left the region with but a handful of remaining villages inhabited by a mere six hundred odd peasants.

The region had also been brainwashed into accepting Daimon worship as their faith. Constructing a temple to the Druids, Illidan is attempting to ween the peasants back to the Order of the Druids, a process which will probably take a long time.
