Forland

Located south of Toprak, Forland is the 3rd largest land mass of Dwilight. Despite this, Forland did not develop a strong native culture, but instead served as a feeding ground for Toprak Minor and Madina Isle. This can be blamed on the Palm Sea, separating the island in three relatively isolated regions.

History

The original inhabitants of Forland are the Imanaghan. However, in prehistoric times the Ugykke were dislodged from Madina Isle by the Poru and looked for a new home on Forland. They expelled the Imanaghan to the woods and hills, claiming the best farmlands for themselves.

When they wanted to expand across the Euschean Sea, they came into conflict with the Euschean, who made an alliance with the Phrycians, thus forming the Lurian Federation. The Lurians managed to overcome the Ugykke and gained control of Northern Forland, where they rewarded warriors with land. Thus two new cultures would emerge in Northern Forland: the Khudefrans in Northeastern Forland were a mix of Lurians and Ugykke, while the Saritians in Northwestern Forland would also see a steady influence by the Imanaghan.

When the Poru expanded to Forland, they expelled the remaining Ugykke and Southern Forland became home to the Roi-Poru. However, when the colonization took place, the Roi-Poru were overcome by the Madinese, who founded the city of Fissoa. The Fissoans became very experienced with fighting in the woods and would subdue the last Imanaghan. Then they came into conflict with the Lurians, which conflict would continue until the Lurians overcame them and became the sole masters of Forland.
