History

The spiritual Descendant of Khthon, Bara'Khur was founded by Jenny Hashimashidas, once Hero and General of Khthon. Lady Jenny was appointed Duchess of Dyomoque while in Avalon and seceded from the realm after the deplorable acts of Nezumi, then Chancellor of Avalon. From the moment of its creation, the realm has always been a monarchy, with only Heroes and Cavaliers being eligible to become ruler.

Culture

The Nobility of Bara'Khur comes from a wide range of different areas, though with the vast majority coming from three separate places. Valentia, Heen and Khthon. This has led to an interesting mix of beliefs mannerisms in Bara'khurian high society. Most notably in the significant spread of the Valentic Order, the hardy outspokenness of former desert dwellers and the high numbers of Heroes within the realm.

Religion

The most dominant faith in Bara'Khur is that of the Valentic Order, with temples dotted all over the kingdom. However there exists several small holdings of less widespread faiths. There remain two ruined temples of the Blood Cult in the south, whilst Estahsism is gaining an increasing stranglehold over Bara'Khur's northern, mountainous territories. These two minority faiths have been joined of late by Heroisticism, which was recently founded in Haffemet.

War!

The dishonourable Quinn, Duke Of Dyomoque had every intention to rebel against the crown when public favour turned against him. He was burdened with the great personal weight of self delusions of grandeur and title, though he had forsaken these when he least fled his city. Queen Jenny was quickly informed of the plot and she exiled him, though Quinn still believing that his right to the Dukedom was far stronger than his allegiance to the crown or Bara'Khur he ceded to Hetland. Though his support quickly dwindled down to Joichiro Nishi and El Cid Rogala, though he lost the support of El Cid when he sacked a temple of The Valentic Order for its Gold, he then lost the support of Joichiro Nishi. Hetland stalled Queen Jenny with vague assurances of handing over Dyomoque accordingly, however this was just stalling. Hetland quickly declared war once they had delayed enough to rally an army. With the war barely started Hetland has already committed several dishonourable acts.
