Wow. Those are some pretty sweet banners. Number four in particular is impressive...Was this page directed at any group in particular, or is it open season? Shwartzring 03:53, 6 November 2010 (CET)

Completely open for everyone :-) -- ShaneO 04:55, 6 November 2010 (CET)
I feel like rebelling or seceding just to have one...--Aerywyn 05:40, 6 November 2010 (CET)
Wheeee! Can I claim number 4 for a realm that's being planned but might not get formed for a little while? Because I showed it to the person who would be the Ruler, and she loved it. Shwartzring 06:50, 6 November 2010 (CET)
Certainly. Just put a strikethrough through the "Banner 4" and you've laid your claim, I'll make you the icon later on when you want you. If you decide not to you use it later on, make sure to remove the strikethrough our of courtesy to other players ;) and don't forget to tell anyone about this page who might like to take a look. :D -- ShaneO 08:09, 6 November 2010 (CET)
I agree, Banner 4 is my favorite out of all of them. Too bad its been claimed. More like that one are great. I guess I'll just have to figure something else out for realm's in planning... Silverfire 10:53, 6 November 2010 (CET)
Looks like I put my claim in just in time...Thanks again Shane! That's really awesome stuff. One thing, I just noticed you said you wouldn't mind doing modifications...The realm in question is going to be led by the joint House of Bedwyr-Kindon, and the symbology would be /perfect/ if the horizontal bars of the cross were green (emerald to be specific, but the shade doesn't really matter so long as it's green) to represent the Kindons. Could you work that in? Shwartzring 03:19, 7 November 2010 (CET)
I'm little confused. So we're talking about Banner 4 I gather and you want the cross to become emerald? Or just the horizontal part of it? Because if it's just the horizontal part then things will be more difficult, since I have red glow moving around the sword and the shield itself. Because of the way that colour editing in photoshop works, it would be extremely tedious to avoid the glow while working on only the horizontal bar. Besides I don't think it would look that great, a bit like a christmas shield :P Ignore this if I've completely misunderstood of course. -- ShaneO 07:23, 7 November 2010 (CET)
Ah, alrighty. That's why you're the artist and I just look on in awe. If you could just change the whole cross to emerald, then? Works better than crimson given who the Ruler will be. Thanks again, and if there's anything I can do to return the favour, just let me know. Shwartzring 22:31, 7 November 2010 (CET)
I'll get to it soon. Sorry about the time, I'm a little slow at these things on weekdays. -- ShaneO 12:55, 8 November 2010 (CET)
Hey, no worries. I'm amazed that you're doing it in the first place, and it'll probably be a month or so until the realm is formed anyway, I'm in no rush. Thanks again! Shwartzring 19:28, 8 November 2010 (CET)
The banners done and it's sitting in your user talk page ;) -- ShaneO 12:18, 12 November 2010 (CET)

I can totally see uses for #5. :P -Dominic 03:22, 8 November 2010 (CET)

My god, it was just now that I equated Dominic = The guy from the d-list, with Chenier = The badass family that started BM around the same time as me. Haha, nice to re-meet you. -- ShaneO 12:55, 8 November 2010 (CET)
Somehow I'm not sure "the guy from the d-list" is a positive thing. :P "The baddass family" certainly is music to my ears, I thought I was only known as "the guy who won't play it safe enough for my liking" and "the guy who causes us great trouble", depending on which side of a war the person's on. :P You are pretty good at making these banners. You won the contest for the Dwilight banners too, right? You did Pian en Luries' if I remember correctly? -Dominic "Chénier" 13:58, 8 November 2010 (CET)
I love the Chénier family ever since I met Nicolas in Enweil and ever since it's been a pleasure playing with you! I never got to meet any of the families of Shane O'neil, unfortunately. Making something more than the usual game-world is great fun, especially with the invasion in Beluaterra. -Harte
Haha, thats too bad. I was mainly a Far East guy anyway in my heydey. And yes to Dom, I was one of the Dwilight banner guys. -- ShaneO 23:31, 9 November 2010 (CET)

These are really, really good. I would be more than happy to have banners like these replace the partially really simple ones that we have in the game right now. Excellent work! --Tom 14:11, 9 November 2010 (CET)

Gotta second that. This is some really amazing work. Banners like these really add a real medieval flavor unlike some cartoonish banners like we have now. --Arakiss 14:41, 9 November 2010 (CET)
Thanks a lot. I've been wanting to give BM better looking banners for a while. I think with a continual process, we can phase out pretty much every single old banner that we don't want, since I make at least 1 good banner a week. (I make many but some turn out ugly) When I retrieve me old hardrive from my dimwit brother, I'll be a able to upload loads more of these for people to pick from. Thanks again. -- ShaneO 23:31, 9 November 2010 (CET)
How about actually making replacements for the current banners? You could pick one of your choosing, make a better version, and have it replaced. --Tom 12:45, 15 November 2010 (CET)
Sure, in fact I just re-did Astrums's[1] the other day, the currently ruler is checking it out at the moment. I'll try and re-do as many realms as I can. EC is a difficult continent because everyone is really attached to what they've been playing with for the last decade, so I'll try doing the Far East first. Also, if you need help with the War Islands project, I can do little glossy buttons and levers and all that stuff, but my CSS skills very basic. The most I could do is work with someone else who tells me exactly what they want (in terms of dimensions). -- ShaneO 22:48, 15 November 2010 (CET)

Hello! First of all, excellent work on the banners :) The Diocese of Aix recently claimed Banner 3, which I will soon upload, but would it be possible to also make an Icon out of it? I do not have the exact requirements for it right now (Asking the Rulers to see if anyone is in the Capital for that, also linked them to this page right away ;) ), but I'll let you know as soon as I have that. - Bart 18:19, 17 November 2010 (CET)

Sure. I'll do it right away and post it to your page. It's quick job. -- ShaneO 23:09, 17 November 2010 (CET)
Nice icon! It can be tough to scale these down sometimes and still make them look good. Well done. -- Corwyn 05:53, 18 November 2010 (CET)
Thanks, it mainly has to do with lowering the image brightness before the scale down and then brightening it up after it's an icon. It helps for some reason. -- ShaneO 11:20, 18 November 2010 (CET)
Thank you! You made the Diocese very happy ;) Now it's just waiting for the approval and then your banner/icon should fly over the East Continent! - Bart 14:08, 18 November 2010 (CET)

hey i want to make banner for al dwilight region... would you join and help me? if we make this, we can add "history" of heraldry in dwilight and when new family and new realm born we can have a "base" for build the new banner... :) plus we can make a Heraldry Guild! what u think? --VecchioRatto 13:00, 9 December 2010 (CET)

So I just realized that this is probably where you wanted my to post for the banner. Anyway, I am looking for a new banner for Asylon and was thinking of something to go with our motto Restore, Preserve, Create. Also, I wanted to incorporate the idea of the two different cultures of Asylon. Along those lines I was thinking of two trees twisting together (kind of like this but more medieval looking: http://www.laurieartist.com/WORKS-TWISTEDTREE.html) I was thinking one tree could be gold and the other white on a green based background. What are your thoughts? 31 January 2011

Ok, cool. I'll start experimenting and drop something on your user talk page, or maybe even tomorrow. -- Shenron 01:09, 1 February 2011 (CET)
Thanks for putting that together, but it's not quite what I was looking for although I like the idea of having the caerwyn griffin and thulsoma lion on opposing sides. If you don't want to I understand, but do you think you could do a simplistic tree? Something like this: http://lauraborealisis.deviantart.com/art/tree-of-life-sketch-35709638 (a little less artsy) or this: http://stargrovesblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/winter-tree-sketch-saturday-37.html (without all the stars and with a few more branches) and just kind of have it be half gold and half white? Also for the background I was thinking a two tone green separated vertically. Let me know if you can help.ivoryfilmco 08:40, 3 February 2011 (CET)
