Indeed we need a background for our story with the items to develop. It could of course, be focused in our characters searching, but we need to have at least an idea of what they'd find. :P Nina has just met a sage in Nid Tek which will tell her a bit about the necklace of fire.

An easy solution might be to give it a religious meaning - we can try to contact people who have religions in dwilight, occly, to see if any could fit with different elemental uniques, for each god of theirs (or one powerful god - or two gods fighting to get them so one will be more powerful, something :P). Of course it could be a neverending search, since we don't know if there will be even one more elemental unique in Dwi. ^_^

We may also relate it to the monsters or undead or rumoured daimons that inhabit dwilight - do you know if there is in fact a NPC realm in the deadlands to the east?

The religion line could be fun... we could even start up our own, or have someone else do so. Perhaps the elemental items are the fragments of a primal god. The more that are brought together, the more powerful it is, beginning to slowly take over the wearer (or wearers if there's too many items) and making that person into it's new host as it attempts to ascend back to full unbroken godhood.

The ratio between the items, however, might need to be kept close to even, otherwise the god starts to become unbalanced and begins driving the wearer mad... forcing him to lead a crusade to find more items to balance himself back out. -- Brandon's player

The other advy (Brandon Peveril) and I found uniques, lately, that have to do with elements. Mine is a necklace of fire and his is a ring of lightning. From a few ooc conversations, we are willing to make of it some RP, even that Dwilight never sees any elemental unique ever again (after all, it's all on our chars' minds anyway).

We were thinking about religion. It would be something on the lines of a (or two opposite) power-hungry god(s), that draw power from elements. The more elemental uniques his(their) follower gather, the more powerful he(they) grow. The god(s) control the follower's mind through the uniques, and the longer the followers have it, the more powerful the control is. What's the god's goal? No idea. Power :) Havoc. Humanity's destruction? If there are two, most likely also the other's destruction.

Another idea is: the god is dormant and needs the uniques to be waken up. The power of the uniques the would be to control people so the world is ready for the god's arrival. Ideas also came up of what to do should daimons actually exist in Dwi, but not much came of it.

Of course it can be a goddess. :P

Anyway, I'd like to know what do you think, if you are willing to join (and if you have the time), who else would you think may be too... Brandon's player and I were willing to make this quest world-wide to our advies, and try to include people from other realms into it.

Perhaps it is a big project, but it'll also work if we have but a couple of people. :P At least it'll be fun for us to RP. And honestly, I don't even think we need a proper religion to start with. Perhaps when the god(s) is/are strong enough... -- Tali, to Marco and Timothy

What do you think? He didn't do anything like asking people to arrest Nina... So I'm unsure about what his intentions are. Perhaps we could just start something ourselves and create a legend that could be based on what he said, but the studies he found were unreliable? :) -- Tali

I like the idea of tying it in with religion. One of the items the brilliant book of life fits nicely with a cult that I hinted at in a few RPs, it doesnt actually exist in game so I dont see why these other religions would need to exist, it can be considered part of the pagan religions local to the region. --Aralaiquendi 07:27, 4 April 2008 (CEST)

Yep, the idea was to start informally, and only if the RP escalated enough, to make an actual religion. Or two. :) So we have Nnaoj interested? What are you thinking for the book? We were considering a growing influence of the god/goddess over the character... making them every time hungrier. What do you think? :) - Bluelake 07:41, 4 April 2008 (CEST)
