Starting

A Goddess
A God

Both of them currently weak in power, or perhaps not even able to enter our world (locked outside?). The unending competition makes them power hungry, and they start influencing people to make them strong again. The more elemental uniques each side has, the more power the god or goddess gain, and the stronger they grow in influence over this world.

Peveril, feel free to edit, this is just a sample. :) The rest of you - talk page. ;)

(Should the sides have preferences for certain types? One prefering death, earth, and fire perhaps while the other goes in for life, water, and air? Seeing as adventurers fight both undead and monsters, perhaps the undead are supporting the one god while the monsters are supporting the other... with or without knowing it. -B)

Power of the Deities

I rather enjoy the idea of the deities somewhat controlling people through their dreams and waken delusions. However, some characters that are more rational might see the messages in quotidian objects and actions, or follow guidelines in a book. What is really important is: the deity doesn't actually do things for the noble (after all, religions are all about assumptions), but the noble is lead to think it was the deity's designs and actions.
