Jezebel (2022-12-16)
Jezebel, the busty wench adventurer, followed the trails of the undead horde late into the crypts of Oligarch City.
After searching the area for 2 hours, following trails and noises, she finally encountered an organized horde of militant, heavily armed undead. They were led by an hideous undead champion, an evil creature with more power and intelligence than the usual lot.
The battle raged, one woman against the undead. Her blows landed true, shattering them to dust left and right.
The champion made her work more than a busy evening “hosting”. He was quite the opponent. But in the end, Jezebel left him just a pile of bones, too.
Among what was left of the champion, she found a unique item among the loot, the "Twice-Blessed Aegis of Minas Leon".
Everhard (2024-09-30)
"Found it!" A soldier waved while standing in front of an old shack. Everhard ran towards him and entered the old building. It had once been a house, but the door was missing and part of the roof had collapsed. Nevertheless, some trolls had found it an excellent home and the remains of their preys were scattered across the floor. Mostly old bones, some human, but also some things of value - particularly to Everhard: the Twice Blessed Aegis of Minas Leon, an old black shield with a red border and a gold lion.
It had once been the property of his grandfather on his mother's side. His grandfather was never open about where he came from and was not considered of noble blood. He told his grandchildren that there was no use in claims of dead kingdoms and that they had to earn their place among the living. Certainly, in the harsh environment on Dwilight life was fleetening, so what was the point of clinging to the past if one could barely hope for the future?
The shield had been inherited by his cousin Gerulf, who lost it when he was defeated by undead in the catacombs of Oligarch. In fact, the reason Everhard was keen on obtaining Commonyr had been because it allowed him to send smugglers into the city - but so far without success. Then a smuggler came with the bright idea to search the libraries and found a note that the shield had been discovered by an adventurer.
It had then been sold to a Shadowdalian Lord who moved from Shadowdale to Yssrgard and now was in Caligus. For weeks he had been paying someone to serve at the noble's parties and then finally success - alcohol after midnight does miracles for one's willingness to share. The servant heard that after the destruction of Itorunt the shield was lost during the flight to the harbor in Xavax.
And now, here it was: unmistakable proof that Everhard's mother descended from the royal house of Minas Leon.
