I love these maps. Any chance of any new ones? Elenar 01:18, 13 January 2007 (CET)

Great work! I particularly like the linguistic and cultural maps. I like the idea of pre-history, too. I have some ideas about ancient nations and vague history if you would like to discuss them..?House Olik 08:25, 14 January 2007 (CET)

Talerium

I take offense (haha)! There were numerous desert tounges (numerous native tribes), so perhaps it could be changed to Desert languages? Torsaan the Great, George the Hippy 07:59, 10 March 2007 (CET)

Also, there is general consensus in Talerium that there were numerous tribes. So Talerium will be horrible to draw :p In addition, most of us claim to have been natives, in Talerium for centuries. The Great Family claims at least 11 generations in the desert, far pre-dating any immigration from EC. Have fun! George the Hippy 08:05, 10 March 2007 (CET)
I don't see the problem with the language. Just as Hebrew, Arabic, and some other languages are all "Semitic" tongues, so all the desert tongues are "Talerian". It's not necessarily one language: it's one language family. Like Indo-European. Naturally, in any large land area, there will be language changes, especially in an area with as many isolated sections as the Talerian region. As for lineage, well, several things. Firstly, you may have lineage, but the society you are in is distinctly EC-based. There are dukes, a democracy, etc. i.e. the game mechanics. Thus, whatever your lineage, it's entirely inconcievable that you would be in the same, or even a similar, society as ancient Talerium, which you yourself say was very, very divided. As for the political makeup of Talerium, I'm not sure I ever posted the ancient nations map but, on the copy on my computer, most of Talerium is controlled by either "Unnamed nomadic tribes" or the "Azzaltec Empire" which, due to it's shape, would be easy to break apart. I see your point with the languages. Talerium took EC governance, as said in our history when we say we adopted the republic from CE. As for the Azzaltec Empire, I wanna see the extent of that, I'm sure the Great Family could dispute it :p George the Hippy 02:25, 11 March 2007 (CET)
The Great family could dispute it, and be wrong. But Onliana found records of the Azzaltec Empire while ambassador to Talerium, and I think her RPs about it, and other ancient realms, predate any that might contradict it. The stuff concerning Talerium is designed to work hand in hand with Talerium's RPed history, which is actually where I got alot of it from. Vellos 17:44, 11 March 2007 (CET)

You can link to images (or the image description page, actually) without them being embedded by prefacing it with a colon. For example, [[:Image:Atamara-Languages.jpg]] will display as Image:Atamara-Languages.jpg. Exellent work on these maps, by the way. -- Luca Masters 23:17, 18 February 2007 (CET)
