Alignment
I had some troubles trying to get certain portions of the text left-aligned, so I had to end up using paragraph tags. I'd rather do an indented list or something, but I think the center tag in the Region Description section of the template might be overriding any other alignment tags. --Ignatius 01:25, 4 November 2008 (CET)

Horrible Design
Is there some particular reason this region uses a very... well... ugly page design? The clashing, vivid colors used for no discernible reason make it look very haphazard and unorganized. Given the fact that this is a rogue region, and not part of any realm, it should use a general regional template, similar to that used by most other regions. --Indirik 17:57, 1 December 2008 (CET)

- i thinks is the Best things of heraldry, reading it you can read the past of the family or region or realm, like fissoa have thr banner of madina, One day maybe thr will fight but the banner will not change, now paisly first realm was Melodia si they put the crest on town square, was only the city banner now, but if the duke want change it he can, but in the archivi will left the trial Who until day xxx the banner was the green and white robin, after xxx for duke will was something else! :) this is what i say when i speak abou give dept history to the game trough heraldry... --Vecchioratto 11:01, 12 December 2010 (CET)
- example: knight Bello was from Paisly, the player decide to give him the background: he was from a family moved here under melodia, so he decided to keep the robin on the crest, he wear it with pride, Knight Brutto, was a pridefull patriot of the new realm, and when he see the crest of Bello going crazy and this can be a good point for RP, then Bello rise the hierarchy and he become the new duke and decide to reabilitate the Old Crest of the city making the people mad, so for a shield can start a rebellion,,, what you think? and that kind of thing happen for real in the medieval time--Vecchioratto 12:13, 12 December 2010 (CET)
- Well, no one is native to Dwilight, they all come from elsewhere. And I might be wrong, but I don't think we have any nobles from Melodia in D'Hara. The duke certainly isn't, at least, nor the other lords of the duchy. -Dominic "Chénier" 19:13, 12 December 2010 (CET)
- exactly but melodian was there before, and city was building from someone before we come... anyway, as i stated in the DRBP any region lord can ask to change the region banner, maybe merging the oldone with his personal one, or forging a new one. In the archive will be left the old one and a note who state: changed the 12/04/2010 by the will of Duke Bello. Heraldry change with the moving of age, maybe tomorrow Paisly will be famous for a great army based in there, and the banner the army will be added to the regional one, or maybe the duke decide to change his banner adding the pailsy banner to his crest... look like the Itau one or Musphelleim and his duke... when i have no info on a region i use the description of the region for build the banner... slowly all have a banner all connected. and that will produce a real speaking haraldry for dwilight... --Vecchioratto 19:36, 12 December 2010 (CET)
- Heraldry needn't reflect current realities: it is an emblem of a heritage. While Melodia probably has more cultural relevance to Terran than to D'Hara, it does remain part of Paislyan history. If the folk of Paisly had hypothetically adopted that banner under Melodia, it would be perplexing to expect them to alter their local heraldic traditions due to the arrival of a new realm. Layers of heraldry are common in the middle ages, with many French and British knights having more heraldry in common with each other than with the formal royal heraldry. Local traditions are persistent, something which BM often white-washes, but which I'm glad to see some more attention going to. Vellos 20:21, 12 December 2010 (CET)

Or that english settlers, after the Expulsion of the Acadians, used french heraldry in the maritimes. Not only would melodian heraldry have been a new and brief moment to the locals, the population of Paisly was pretty much annihilated over a series of disasters when it went rogue as was repopulated only after D'Haran annexation. There's quite literally nobody with any tie to Melodia whatsoever left in the city. Why now Lord Marche will not act and ask for a new Banner? obviusly the IG Heraldry Arcgive still not work so can ask it partially IC, for what i saw there's so few RP and so few motivation for made them... this can be! Maybe when melodian flee they left their crest on town square and new colon used it... anyway push for RP this! the objective of the DRBP is push RP trough history and speaking heraldry!
