A few pieces of history that may interest you:

First, Deverka died in Nifel: http://wiki.battlemaster.org/wiki/Nifel/Eulogy

Of course, you are free to build a mausoleum in Unterstrom, but that's not where his tomb is.

Also, I wrote this some time ago. It's as canonical as you'd like it to be (i.e. not at all if you don't want to), but there's some piece of history.

Description

Among the brooding oaks of the Unterwald and many branching rivers, Unterstrom is mostly a ruin. Years of Monsters, bandits, undead and neglect have left only a portion of the working city this used to be. The artistry of bygone carpenters is seen in the elaborate timber framed townhouses. Shingles are painted in once vibrant color to form artistic patterns on the rooftops. There are also many stone spires, competition from bygone burghers set on outdoing the each other. The church district is the only neighborhood still in good repair, but the market district is abuzz with new renovations. The surrounding neighborhoods are also much less choked with debris than it was during its long isolation.

Unterstrom is named for the many streams that empty into the Gulf of Nimh from the headwaters in the Sword Mountains to the south. These ancient streams have fed the hardwoods of the Unterwald. The city is enwrapped in several small rivers which branch out with canals among the Vorstadt. Woodwork and armorcraft are of fine quality here and the markets enjoy the products of the surrounding regions, such of vintage wine and spirits from Weinschenk, and a variety of ales from all over.

The highly independent Unterlanders forsook this city when the last local Dwili despot lost power. Ever since there have been countless attempts to establish at the very least an administration, much less a governance. Steward-bishop Alexei was the first, followed by Steward-marshal Bustoarsenzio Peristaltico.

The city is the burial site of its first Morekian Duke, Deverka Cryfdwr "the cloudy": Hero, founder and First Grandmaster of Morek. The majestic mausoleum where his rests are conserved is located atop of a small hill directly north of the city: built from the finest white marble coming from Mt.Black Nastrond it is indeed a magnificent sight. The three bloodstars are carved upon the entrance arch, forcing those who enter to bow before them, to remember the Grandmaster's strong faith. Atop the shining dome a small fire is kept always lighted as a sign of devotion of all the city for the defunct Hero. A beautiful statue also stands in the central square of the City, in front of the Ducal Palace. Each year a 7days festival is held between the 26th of May and the 4th of June to commemorate his death.

I suppose Busto must have moved the tomb and then built the mausoleum.. Thanks for making me aware about it.

If I do not remember wrong vonGenf we had some roleplays about you carrying the coffin to Unterstrom since his wife agreed on burying him in his city rather than nifel. That's the explanation for the mausoleum. Ivel 09.36 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Did we? I remember we planned to do it, but I think the city went rogue before we could actually travel there, and we never did afterwards. Of course, it can be retconned, but I like the idea of Nifel as a sacred place. vonGenf 20:13, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
