"We stand here today to honour Grandmaster Cryfdwr's resting place with consecration as a holy site of the Blood Stars."

The crowd surrounding the late Grandmaster's impressive tomb was enormous; almost every living soul within walking distance had come. Even this far north, worship of the Blood Stars held sway. Sygrum did his best to suppress his feeling of unease at being so close to the Maddening realm of Thulsoma from which he had previously escaped. The lure of the Mad Star could be powerful.

"Deverka The Cloudly led an exemplary life. No man can truly be expected to balance the stars at all times; such an achievement is only on the very horizon of possibilities. However, the Grandmaster was known for his normally calm demeanour and displayed an excellent self control that can only be a sign of his devotion to the stars.

"Perhaps Deverka Cryfdwr's blood will mingle with the soil of this spot, enriching it with his greatness. We know that his soul has ascended to the stars above, perhaps one day to be reborn, but the aspect of him that was his body will reside in this place for eternity. This spot will be deserving of pilgrimage for aeons to come."

The eulogy complete, Sygrum prepared himself to conduct the ceremony of consecration. He took several deep breaths, attempting to calm his raging emotions and to achieve a proper balance. A ceremony conducted by a priest out of alignment with the stars would surely be worthless.

"May the stars guide our steps." Sygrum's voice rang out sharp and clear, fervent. "May the stars watch over the resting place of Deverka Cryfdwr's body, and guard it as they guard his soul. May his blood mingle with the earth, that this place will be forever made more excellent by his sacrifice. In the name of the Maddening Star, in the name of the Austere Star, in the name of the Auspicious Star, I consecrate this place as a holy site of Sanguis Astroism for as long as the Stars grant us their guidance."
