Property:Discovery date

This is a Date property.

The day this unique item (usually) was found or created.

Suggested input formats are:

• Feb 11 2000 <-- preferred format
• 2002 March 16
• 19 August 2003

We strongly suggest avoiding the 2/3/2001 input format as some countries put the month first, while others put the day first (e.g. you don't know for certain if this is the 2nd of march or the 3rd of february).

You can also specify a time of day, but unless that is for some reason important, we strongly suggest leaving it out.
