Ironsides Family/Bowie/Sallowtown Last
The Last Stop in Sallowtown
Bowie enters Sallowtown for the first time since he was ejected so long ago. The people there are surprised and a bit afraid. They do not know what to expect from him. The Black Army spreads out and begins searching through the city.
Bowie stands on a crate and announces himself.
- “My Sallowsians, I said I would return and here I am. Although I have not come to bring you civilization, enlightenment or liberation, I have come to claim my son. Where is he?”
The people do not reply, but look around nervously.
- “He is one of your royals, Winter is his name. Where is he? I have been looking for the dignitaries but have yet to find them. So you will tell me, where is my son?”
An old woman steps forth as the spokesman for the crowd.
- “Please Demon, we don’t want your trouble here. Your son is safe, he is safer with us. We cannot let you have him.”
Bowie steps off the crate and looks into the old woman’s eyes. He stares into her with noble command, but she does not budge.
- “He is my son. He must come with me.”
- “No Milord, he is Sallowsian as you made him, he must stay with us.”
The crowd circles the two in an intimidating way to Bowie. He notices their change of mood and steps back in silence. He signals for the Black Army to cease their search then turns to leave. As he leaves he says,
- “Then let him die petty with the rest of you.”
Bowie and the Black Army gather and exit Sallowtown, perhaps for the last time. Their next destination, the Desert of Silhouettes.
